I'm high and I'm sorry if this appears inappropriate to say but I can't decide whether the slightly sad eyes of the 2nd pic are looking through the lens of the camera in that moment to witness your sadness in this moment, or I am merely being slightly infected by your grief at having lost a loved one, having also done. It'll never quite be the same
I appreciate you sharing, and assure you it is not inappropriate at all. Kitty was fondly referred to as The Oracle in our household, because he had such soulful eyes. He always looked so deep in thought (and slightly sad at times 😭), so I’m glad you’re able to see that. 🐈⬛🖤🌈🌀

I lost my 17yo best friend in March and I can tell you it didn't feel like it will, but I does get better <3 And remember that he's most likely getting someone ready to keep an eye on you for him <3

When mine passed I didn't think I could take the heartbreak again. Then covid hit and a neighbour was trying to get rid of kittens. So now I have good boy 2, who also rocks a bowtie. I've also discovered that half my street feeds him because of the cute tie! He's a little prostitiute :p

I have two other senior kitties at home, but will definitely keep my heart open 🥹🖤🐈⬛ I always say that I want to be a billionaire (the oddity that didn’t exploit the masses) JUST for the sole purpose of having the means to save them all. I would have dozens if i had the means.
Our fur friends always go too soon. When they're gone, they leave a grief-lined hole. May your grief soon be filled by fond memories of the time you were together ❤️

So sorry for your loss. There's just no getting over this one.
I can't say it gets any easier because I still miss my boy so horribly, but what I found really healing was just to write down everything we had and my feelings. It forced me to address my grief, and hopefully, at some point soon, I'll be able to remember all the past shenanigans with a smile rather than just pain.

These post rip my heart put every time . I am void addicted . Every time one passes I adopt another one . I will have a void til,the day I’m gone . Each has a special place in my heart and each has been different . Every one I’ve had has been the sweetest of my cats . Moms aren’t supposed to have favorites , but I can’t help it . I’ve always gravitated to the underdog , and because people are still superstitious they don’t get adopted as frequently . Therefore they are the first thing I look for . I’m sorry for your loss . As soon as you feel up to it go rescue a 🐈⬛ .
They are definitely the sweetest, and I have the same sentiments about favourites 😭😭😭😭😭 I’ve had a total of three black kitties for the same reason you chose them, and would probably only choose black cats. They just have so much love to offer and are still so often overlooked 🖤🐈⬛🐾
