Mourning Heaven just got a little more BADASS!!
My beautiful void crossed over today. 17 years old, never lost a fight, fearless to the end, but the biggest cuddly snugglebuggle you ever met. A true gourmand, he supped on a glorious final meal of all his faves: egg nog, cream and butter, sweet shrimp and octopus sashimi. Hyperthyroidism! Small cell lymphoma! Attacked by a dog, jaw broken, cheek puncture, and had to be tube fed for a MONTH just before his eleventh birthday AND STILL NOTHING EVER GOT HIM DOWN!!
THIS CAT WAS ROYALTY.
Y’all was all lucky Loki let you live here: the cat who CLICK-CLACKED everywhere he went. Could he retract his claws and be stealthy? ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY he could! He’s a CAT: a panther, a killer! Not some SCAREDY-CAT just PUSSYFOOTING around. He WANTED you to know he was coming. YOU hide.

*hugs tightly from an Internet stranger* if he's anything like my Spitfire was, he probably got halfway over that bright bridge, said, "nah, fuck this, I got shit to do," and walked right back to where you are.
My little old lady was the same age when she crossed, and I swear she waited around to tell a little voidling stray kitten that THIS house needed a panther. I still smell her baby's breath fur every once in a while. Annnd now I need to go hug my cats ><

I lost my void 4 years ago at age 19. She was going deaf, bellowed at everything at the top of her lungs, chased the other cats, terrorized the mice that got in the house. As she got older and weaker, she cried more and chased less, but was still the little warrior and lovebug she had always been. The morning before I found she had passed, she had one last act of pure destruction and rebellion.
In the middle of a breakfast spread I had laid out for my now ex, she leaped onto the table to stand in the scrambled eggs. She knocked over coffee cups and orange juice cups into the place of waffles. She upturned the home fries and spilled them onto the floor. All so that she could grab three slices of thick bacon and make her escape to eat in peace.
May our fierce friends meet each other over the Rainbow Bridge and cause untold chaos until we can see them again!

My boy passed last winter. I took him to the vet to humanely help him over the rainbow bridge. It was really hard to take him but it was the right time and the right thing to do. So my vet plays a classical music station that is mostly just background sound. So the vet gave him the shot to relax him and slow him down and then came back maybe 15 min later to give him the final shot. As my boy was crossing the bridge, the last of the mohicans song comes on. I was a wreck but I noticed the music. It made me smile. It was a fitting end for a tough as nails, badass cat. All the warriors through history were calling one of their own home.

My 13 year old void crossed over today, they are partying together! Kidney disease got the best of her, but she had an epic last meal of steak and egg yolks (her favorite). Towards the end she forgot how to clean her face, but that’s okay 🖤

lol! No. When I went to the sushi restaurant to get him his shrimp and octopus sashimi (his faves) for his last meal, the sushi chefs were moved by the hysterically sobbing adult woman right at business open so they gave me a bunch of free extra scraps for him because they were awesome, so there salmon, tuna… everything he could ever want. The plaid thing is a catnip pillow I made for him from a scrap of my old pajamas. ETA: I also got a lot of free hugs from strangers, oatmeal raisin cookies, and eggnog at the liquor store. Apparently, being a grown-ass woman in her pajamas having a sobbing snot-covered meltdown all over herself has… benefits? Idk.

In Jan 2019, he was attacked and his jaw was broken, so he had to be tube-fed for awhile because the nerve that allowed him to swallow was damaged. The pink thing is a gauze wrap holding the feeding tube in place.
