I’m so sorry of Dora’s passing. Losing a constant companion, family member, and best friend of 16 years is heartbreaking. Hope the memories of love and happiness shared between the two of you help you out during this hard time.
Sending positive vibes out to you. 😀

Thank you everyone for your love and support ❤️ Dora was one of a kind. I will miss her until the day I die. Below is the tribute I posted for her on instagram:
I got Dora at 19. She was the runt and the vet suggested euthanasia. I worked doubles at Olive Garden instead, to pay for her treatment. The vet said she’d be lucky to make it to 1. I’d say 16 is a pretty damn good run. We always called Dora the “converter cat”, because even people who didn’t like cats liked Dora. Endlessly affectionate and sweet, she loved to be carried around against your shoulder like a baby and would happily purr the entire time. Dora never could meow, but her noisy, raspy purrs let her feelings be known. She never met a stranger. She loved having her belly rubbed and would flop on the carpet if you so much as looked at her, paws curling in the air. She loved me the most. If I was out and Mark had me on speaker, Dora would come running to my voice, nuzzling the phone. Late at night, she’d gently bap me with her paw so I would lift my blanket. She would silently crawl under and curl up beneath my arm, softly purring. What an amazing 16 years. I never wanted to make this choice, but late last night she made it for me. Dorable, Dora borealis, Dorabora, I will love and miss you always. Thank you for everything.
