Mourning It’s getting close to saying goodbye
I’m pre grieving my girl Rita. Cancer sucks. Even on her worst days she’s still beautiful, silly, and amazing! I’m planning for Monday. I just love her so much and don’t want her to leave. But I know her sister is waiting for her on the rain bow bridge. 🪽🪽🪽

I'm sorry for your loss, that's the downside to having them .
I rationalize it to myself as now another cat gets a home.

That's how I look at it too I haven't had to say goodbye yet.. When it does happen I would go to a rescue or take in a stray and give them a home .. both of my cats are rescues and I love them

Mine have all been rescues or street cats. I have two as well, always two. My last great male, black cat was off the street, total champ. He was with me through a lot, so when he got cancer I tried to save him, in the end it cost 4k and I still lost him. I've learned from that. In the future I'll ask the vet "what would you do if it was your cat"? I'm much more open to taking care of things early. It would have been less painful for him and less expensive for me, if that makes sense. But, it opened the door to my current void boy, he was living with a feral colony, they trapped/fixed him, and when he came out of sedation they realized he was very social and sweet, so I won the lottery with him. He's the best boy. I like to think Oscar sent him to me.

The most so far was a grand at once at once my parents thou have a syberian huskies that was sick about a month ago and there bill was 14 grand for surgeries hes actually doing amazing right now but i just thought to myself my only option would be to take a loan I don't have that kind of money .. for 1 of my cats thou my male I have the same somewhat story. I had a colony at my job I would take care of everyday got very close with them to the point I could handle there kittens with no problem .. they had alot of kittens and some didn't survive and i ran out of friends and family that could take them .. a rescue came a tnr them.. the male came in limping and a big cut across his head and not eating ..i took him to er vet and since then he's never left my home that was 2 years ago .. super friendly my vet even said I lucked out with him too.

The 4th picture is the sweetest picture. It needs to be framed. Thank you for taking care of her. You’re a good owner and you will be until the end.

I’m so sorry for your loss and fuck cancer.
My little guy got diagnosed with it too and I was told he may have a year left if that, so I’m trying to give him the best life I can until we have to say goodbye.

I agree, fuck cancer. My Chloe had small cell lymphoma of the small intestine. She did really well on chemo for almost two years. It became so hard trying to get her to eat. It will be 1 year since I lost her next month.

She’s only 4 :,( her sis didn’t even make it to two years old! She also had cancer and felv on top of that. I got both of them from the humane society. I think shelter animals can live long lives but some don’t bc of thing that might be exposed to in the shelters

Omg. That is so rough! My Chloe came from the humane society and made it to 17.5.
My first void, Cleo, was 4 when she passed away totally unexpectedly. Went to work while she ate some treats, came home to find her dead. Very traumatic!
On void number 3 now.

I'm so sorry. Cancer is a bitch. My remaining void is almost 22, no cancer, but we're getting close, too. It's so very hard, but we give them the best that we can, don't we? 🖤🖤🖤

The way I try to look at it is you have given Rita the best life she could possible have.. I dread the day i would have to say goodbye to my cats but I keep telling myself I try to give them the best life possible . And if i had to do it all again i would just to save a stray or rescue and try to give them the best life too..I don't know if that helps but iam sorry you have to go thru this

I am so sorry. Feel hugged, comforted, supported. You gave her the best life she could have. Now, the relief. Yes, cancer sucks. I am so sorry.

Sorry for you, this is the hardest decision but it's better for you and her to let her go peacefully and painlessly.
A little thought for you and Rita 🖤🖤🖤
