Please help These litter-mates suddenly can't stand to be together. They hiss, caterwaul, and fight. We are keeping them separate, but does anyone know how we can reintroduce them? My heart hurts. BTW took to vet and they are healthy. She said "misplaced aggression."

So sorry this happens to you. It’s so sad when a bonded pair forgets they love each other and suddenly fight.
We went through this last summer. Cats bonded for 7 years didn’t recognize each other after both being really sick and getting antibiotics and all kinds of stuff. It got really bad with the fighting so we had to separate them.
We then did the reintroduction as Jackson gallaxy on YouTube explains. Different rooms, feeding by the door, eventually feeding with open door by a baby gate. Then slowly having them together while playing/giving treats.
For us it was painfully slow. It happened in July and we finally had them together again some time end of November. But we did have a few accidents happen where they fought again cause they escaped so it might have taken less time if we had been better at separating them.
But now they are lovely again, just like before.
Good luck and if I can help ask any time.
