Aurora Borealis!? At this time of year, at this time of day, in this part of the country, localized entirely within your kitchen!?

I could really go for a steamed ham.

It's an Albany expression.

Doesn't really look like an aurora

I was up at Porteau Cove taking some pictures, it's just light bouncing off some clouds. I'm not sure if it's light pollution or illumination from the moon.

Based on the photos, I think they are Noctolucent Clouds. Super cool effect if that’s what’s happening here

Nah, I've seen them often and they don't look like that

Light reflecting off clouds.

Up here in PG, sometimes you see this coming from over the Northern horizon on summer nights. My best guess as to what's happening is that it's sunlight reflecting from far past the horizon.

Steamed hams.

You call them steamed hams despite the fact that they're obviously grilled?

Clouds that are highlighted by the glow of Vancouver.

Light pollution or aurora borealis.

We recently had good conditions for seeing aurora, so depending when this picture was taken, it could be either.

just one of the signs that there may be a bitchin side quest somewhere in that direction

A beautiful natural phenomenon called the aurora Borealis aka the northern ( sometimes not so much) lights.
