bbbbbrrlrllrlrllr! I can’t tell if they like each other
Is this their way of flirting? This is Not My Cat (we think someone in the neighborhood owns him).

I’d start with a baby gate first before opening the door. They look like they want to play with each other. If they don’t like each other, body language would be much different.

It definitely leans more towards playing. Your cat inside would not look away from the orange cat if they wanted to murder.

The orange cat looks like he wants to play/get to know your cat inside but she is defending her territory/not having it.

The odd thing though is that she never hisses at him like she has other cats! And her tail stays up

Hmm….maybe mixed emotions. He must be one of those handsome bad boy orangies

My cat hated that she wasn't the only cat in the world. Whenever another cat showed up, she'd immediately be growling at the door and would never so much as take her eyes off it, until the other cat left. Even putting the window blinds down didn't help.

That cat was the most possessive cat I've ever had in my life. She did not like any other animals being around. Ever.

That definitely seems like "Hey you, I'm curious about you, you're interesting, can we play?"
Your cat on the other hand definitely wants the orange one to screw off.
If you're gonna introduce them to each other, let them smell each other first through a gate or a screen, and be aware that your cat probably won't like having Other Cats™ in their territory. Also you should probably ask around to see if you can find out whose cat that is.

They look like they want to play, but maybe let them smell each other through a screen to verify
