My cat recognizes my pre-sneeze breaths and motions and immediately cheeses it. He likes to sleep on my belly or my chest and after I had sinus surgery he was sneezed off of me several times and now just launches away from me when I'm gonna sneeze.

My first cat would meow at any of us when we sneezed. He was a sweet cat, so I'm thinking he was actually concerned, because he wouldn't stop meowing at the sneezer until they said "Thank you kitty!"

I miss him, he put up with a lot of shit from two toddlers (my sibling and I). Some cats are just great with kids, and he was no exception.

My baby did that too! I didn't know other cats did it. She would only do it for me, no one else, and I got pretty good at fake sneezing just so I could hear her trills. 😢

Now that she's gone, I tell other cats that don't 'bless me' after I sneeze that they are being rude.

I wonder if they try to calm you down with these trills. Because kitties seem to be somewhat upset and agitated when they have to sneeze, so maybe he thinks you need comfort because you might feel like that aswell?

My oldest cat does this, but only when my mom sneezes. My mom and I life in different states now so she only visits me once every few years, but the cat continues to do this just for her sneezes.
