I'm an idiot, have spent the last couple of weeks levelling a Druid on a SOD Server and didn't realise it's the server I chose was basically dead.

I'm returning to WoW after not playing for a decade and was really interested in scratching the nostalgic itch for Classic, but thought proper Classic would be a bit too full on for my lifestyle (2 young kids, busy life, only about 6 or 7 gaming hours per week)

Heard about Season of Discovery a few weeks back and have been having a blast levelling a druid.

Got to level 20 and was heading down to Stormwind so I could then find a group to do Deadmines.

Stopped off in Ironforge and noticed it was completely empty, went to the AH and realised it had nothing for sale.

Checked online and the server has like 30 players lol. Character transfers aren't a thing in SOD apparently so I guess I'm back to square one on a server that actually has people playing on it!

You can transfer your character to one of the two populated realms (PvE can only go to PvE/PvP can only go to PvP) for free from the shop in the character select screen.

You can do server transfers. I'm leveling a char on a dead server on purpose and then transfering him (for free) to crusader strike when im done.

You sure you can't transfer characters? Or is it only established characters (I was able to transfer my existing characters when I came back)

luckily level 20 takes literally like 8 hours in regular classic, and even less in sod with XP boosts. Probs what, 3-4 hours of playtime? if that?

Bro you can get level 20 so fast with the xp boost even with 6 hours of play time perfect excuse to try a diff class and see how the runes are

If you having to be on Living flame EU ill boost you through stockades for free once you reach 15 so you can catch up a bit quicker.

If you only play wow for 1 hour a year, it will take longer to reach 60 than it will for someone who plays 23 hours a day - depending on their efficiency ofcourse.
