Season of Discovery Is it still worth starting SoD?

I have seen some stuff on youtube about SoD recently, but i feel like it is coming to an end. Is it still worth it to start from 0?

short answer: yes

long answer: yyyyyyyeeeeeeeeesssssss

real answer: yes definetely

really quick way of leveling, runes all available from the start on a vendor, gearupdates, on my Server at least constant running bfd/gnome/ even some st(most not too successful but good for some kills at least) and lots of mc/zg/ every other beginners raid basic comsumables really cheap, tons of ways of making gold, incentive to run raids for reals which you can turn in for gear or consumes so highergeared players will do mc and shit as well, scholo strath whatever runs for coins so catchup is really really easy. if its your first time classic, be vocal about it and tell people, people generally assume everyone knows 20yo content but most are happy to explain :)

Make friends with a shaman and have them boost you using scourge invasions. If I recall correctly, someone had gone from 1-60 in just 4 hours of /played.

Funny enough i find just questing is optimal if You are not buying Boost, the +150% xp and 300% gold from quest takes you to 400-600g when You hit 60.

Enough to get some Boes and raiding consumes. Do dungeon at 55+.

doing quests / grinding to 25, then do a cycle of incursions in duskwood, look for a bfd party (dont start moving once raid is full, start moving once you get your inv/ when 5 are in raid at least) look for quick guide for Bosses (raid will award about 2 levels with xp coming mainly from bosskills so each fight you are dead you miss out on xp) should be about lvl 30 to this point, afterwards depending on class you can grind incursion duskwood till about 36 37 then change to ashenvale Inc if you are able to handle 41 mobs (as Hunter for example) quests are available at 37 for av, 47 for Hinterland and feralas. in their respective levelranges they are by far the best source of xp with dailies nettimg about 2 levels (depending on your lvl) and mobgrind xp are huge as well. throw in some raids, most Dungeons are not worth if you ask me but can do them to get the experience

BUT: wouldnt worry about the best/fastest/ most efficient way, just play the Game

so you see different ways, surely boosting is the quickest but getting boosted on your first char seems unlikely additionally i think i save my comment about ot being to late to begin and Just copy paste it whenever needed

I started about a week ago for the first time, new to classic except a lvl 32 on HC as well.

With some correct guidence from guildies on how to lvl, I’m already 60 and doing the beginner raids. Still ways away from naxx but very excited to see brand new scarlet content.

Id say go for it, I really regret not starting earlier and playing retail SoD is great.

If you have to ask, then no. If you want to play, yes.

Yes. I started last weekend. I’m level 38 and loving it. I’m not doing Incursions or raids to level up fast as I see no reason to rush to the end game but everybody is really helpful and the leveling speed is a great balance between classic and retail.
