Elon, you are Snow, Vader, Smith, Mathews, and creedy, all wrapped up in one and minus the spine of any of them.

No Vader had a tragic upbringing and deserved pity.

Sidious is too smart or cool same with most other antagonists in Star wars.
Jabba the Hutt would be the appropriate comparison.

Hes actually like a fat version of Judge Smails from Caddy shack

u/Ok_Sink5046 1d ago

Not that off.

This whole administration is just Pakleds and TNG era Ferengi with a Goa'uld as head of HHS.

u/luciferl666socom 10h ago

This is so brave to say, but you're right!

13

u/truffles76 1d ago

His villain origin story is he never got the free bowl of soup after buying that hat

1

u/clermouth 1h ago

...not to mention those poor collies

4

u/HumboldtChewbacca 1d ago

But definitely not good at anything resembling a sport.

u/dumrunk 22h ago

"The world needs ditch diggers, too!" - Judge Smails

Yup, I'd say it's an apt description.

Jabba the Musk

13

u/vledermau5 1d ago

I was thinking of Nute Gunray.

14

u/KingErroneous 1d ago

No, tRump is Jabba.

1

u/Annual-Jump3158 9h ago

There's a whole dynasty of those little slugs. They can both be Hutts. But if you're looking for a fatter one, true enough, it's probably Trump as Jabba.

Vader deserves a degree of empathy, not pity. He had a traumatic upbringing, but he still acted like a petulant teenager and plunged the galaxy into darkness because he missed his mummy.

1

u/Zibras 23h ago

To be fair, when raised by religious group that taughts you that you should suppress your emotions instead of teaching you how to deal with them in healthy manner your growth as a person will most likely be stunted. That and not having anyone to confide in with your most traumatic experiences and old man that suddenly walks in with all the answers will probably fuck up you judgment.

At least Vader actually built something.

1

u/snowfloeckchen 1d ago

He didn't like sand, if that counts as an excuse

1

u/Altruistic_Bass539 1d ago

He's more like Jar Jar Binks stumbling through life with an annoying speech pattern and voice. Jar Jars success was gained mostly through luck, just like Elon.

1

u/bendstraw 1d ago

Jabba ran the most lucrative and successful criminal enterprise in the galaxy for decades, Trump could only dream

1

u/Polkawillneverdie17 23h ago

He's not Vader. He's Bib Fortuna.

1

u/Woooosh-if-homo 23h ago

And Vader actually did love his children

1

u/VoteforNimrod 3h ago

Loved Luke so much he cut off his hand.

1

u/LSOreli 19h ago

Nah, Jabba had what you'd call "thieves honor" and stuck to morally grey principles. Elon doesn't care about agreements or doing the honorable thing.

1

u/voppp 16h ago

Vader was at least scary lmao

1

u/ExcessiveEscargot 9h ago

Jabba the Hutt was pretty competent in his role. So that's a no, too.

1

u/ulfric_stormcloack 3h ago

Vader was badass, musk Is krenic, or one of the many powerful administrative assholes in andor

45

u/Mortukai 1d ago

He's Nolan Serento, Ready Player One.

29

u/Whitestrake 1d ago

He's Justin Hammer, Hammer Industries from MCU.

2

u/megaladonquixote 13h ago

He's the Temu knockoff version of the Wish version of whatever he THINKS he is

5

u/thisistherevolt 1d ago

There you go

40

u/Artichokeypokey 1d ago

He's Snow without the cunning

Vader without the might

Smith without the grit

Matthews without the intelligence

I haven't seen V for Vendetta, but you get my point

9

u/Zee_Arr_Tee 1d ago

That's still too much credit because they still look cool, Elon does not

1

u/Babyyougotastew4422 1d ago

Oh you gotta see v for vendetta.

1

u/caedius 1d ago

I haven't seen V for Vendetta, but you get my point

He's Creedy, no modification needed. He just is Creedy.

0

u/muddymuppet 11h ago

R/usernamechecksout but seriously, what good reason do you have for not having watched V for Vendetta?!?!?

7

u/Winterflame76 1d ago

Hey, Snow actually had class.

16

u/BrennanSpeaks 1d ago

Nah.  Snow is the closest comparison:  a narcissist by birth, a fascist by upbringing, a monster by choice and out of a desire for wealth.  If you read “Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes,” you realize that he’s much less the suave, terrifying demon that Katniss saw him as and was more of a “banality of evil” type.

4

u/Winterflame76 1d ago

True, but (Spoilers for Mockingjay, just in case anyone else reads this)I doubt Musk would be as respectful if one of his enemies' sisters died (Also I admittedly never read Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, so anything about that is beyond me)

3

u/Choochoonaynay 23h ago

I don’t think any of them have a botched dick either so Elon wins that

2

u/One-Earth9294 1d ago

If Musk wants to be the hero of a movie he should look into films produced by Josef Goebbels.

4

u/Independent-Couple87 1d ago

I think Adrian Veidt, aka Ozymandias, from Watchmen also has parallels to Elon Musk.

10

u/thisistherevolt 1d ago

Veidt actually had a succinct plan that worked at first. And the public opinion of him didn't drop until much later.

5

u/DontRefuseMyBatchall 1d ago

Yeah, Veidt was terrifyingly competent but underestimated people while still being ruthless.

Elon is just a massive dolt who thinks he’s playing 7D Chess Overmax Edition when he’s playing regular ass chess.

3

u/Moonchilde616 1d ago

Regular ass chess is giving him to much credit. He's paying someone else to play tic-tac-toe in his name.

3

u/DontRefuseMyBatchall 1d ago

Yeah, Veidt was terrifyingly competent but underestimated people while still being ruthless.

Elon is just a massive dolt who thinks he’s playing 7D Overmax Edition Stratego when he’s playing regular ass chess.

1

u/TopShelfBuds 1d ago

No he’s definitely cypher in the matrix.

1

u/Duskmourne 1d ago

He's not even Smith from Matrix. He's literally making robots and AI. He would be the literal reason the war between man and machine even started to begin with.

1

u/cigarette4anarchist 22h ago

I never saw Divergent, but was Dave Mathews really the villain of the movie? If so, based.

1

u/my-love-assassin 16h ago

Vader is actually cool. Musk is like a stormtrooper who forgot his helmet.
