Update Database of Long COVID–informed doctors – add your review (plus donations tied to reviews!)
Someone (@SalvMattera on Twitter/X) in the Long COVID community has built this new website: https://helpforlongcovid.com/care-providers
It’s a platform where people with Long COVID can share and read reviews of doctors, clinics, and treatments. The goal is to build a central, crowdsourced database of clinicians who actually understand Long COVID and to collect insights into what treatments are helping people.
If you’ve seen a doctor who helped you, or want to give a gaslighting doctor a bad review, or if you’ve tried any treatments worth reviewing, please consider submitting a review. Every contribution helps the whole community.
Bonus: For every review submitted, the creator of the website is donating $15 to a Long COVID-related organization.
If we reach 250 unique clinicians with at least one solid review each, he’ll also donate $500 each to Patient Led and PolyBio.

There’s already a website of long covid doctors that’s been around for a while: longcoviddoctors.org

Yeah, that's great. The limitation with that site though is that's it only a list of names. You don't know if those people take insurance, if they prescribe LDN, how hard it is to get an appointment, if they are actually good or not, etc

This is actually a great idea. I have a neurologist that acted like LC patients were all mental. She might get added.

Excellent initiative. The more, the merrier. Also, here in Europe we need more private alternatives to get around the often very slow (or inefficient, or inadequate) public healthcare systems.

This is interesting! I'm seeing on there someone with 5 stars that I have an appointment planned with, hopefully they'll be as as willing to listen as they were with the reviewer.
Ironically, there's another doctor on there with a lower rating, someone that I was specifically told not to get an appointment with because they're supposedly very harsh and don't understand chronic fatigue, and indeed, the review says the same thing.

That’s a really good idea, but I wish it was international

It is international! You can post/read reviews for doctors in any country. You can begin typing the name of the country and it will show up in the drop-down menu

The country thing doesn’t work for me, maybe I didn’t do it right 🥲

Can you be more specific so we can make it easier to use? We are working to improve the UI.

I tried to enter a specific city and it didn’t let me, it seems to only recognize a handful of cities for my country.

I have already submitted my LC medical professionals and asked people I know who go to the same clinic to review them! It’s a really nice site, and I hope it helps a lot of people.

If you start typing name it will let you add one. I did not have to sign up - a relief!! But I did have to toggle to anonymous. So happy for this. I live in shitty town with no good docs and it took literal years to find pcp and he’s an angel.

Nice initiative. I’ve had some terrible experiences with doctors who have no knowledge about Long COVID. Would be great if people could avoid some of those experiences by checking this review site first.
