Considering the Democratic leadership is hardly doing anything to stop any of this, they kinda are both bad. Hopefully, the dems that are fighting and the current protests will stop Trump and Musk before people start dying. They are already starting to disappear people.

It never would have come to what we see now under Harris, but none of the recent Democratic presidents have been leaders for much beyond maintaining captialism and supporting their donors. They were also the ones that surpressed Bernie. Just because bad cop is getting way out of control, that doesn't mean good cop is on your side.

I'm going to attend a protest this weekend, I hope others do the same. If the dems surpress progressives in this again after all that has gone on, there's no hope.

They both are bad, but that logic is used for voter apathy and letting the worst bad (Republicans) win elections.

I never said Democrats were really good. Plus, people HAVE already died.

If you admit that "both are bad", then please edit your post title to remove the double quotation marks that you put around: Both sides bad. Because you just agreed with that fact yourself. You literally said "they both are bad". Good lord man, the cognitive dissonance is too much.

Voter apathy is justified when "the good guys" are also evil. Voting for the Dems makes you less evil than MAGA. Congrats!

Too bad that "less evil" =/= Good. You are not a good person. You are simply less evil than the average MAGAt. Know this about yourself.

Oh, okay, all valid points.

The last sentence you said.

No, the Dems won’t. They keep pivoting right. They want you to vote for the lame dude. Fucking Corey booker 🤮

Not if you vote for the progressives.

You must be young. I envy that. I’m old enough to know that the Dems running the party, are also oligarchs. They control both sides. If you disagree, you will learn it eventually.

Being condescending to me doesn't mean I'm wrong or that I even said the Dems right now weren't oligarchs.

It takes time and hard work to get reforms done. So support the leftist side of the party, which do exist and are not controlled by the other wing of the Dems.

I wasn’t being condescending, I’m being realistic and it’s based on experience following politics. If you think the leftist side of the party would get in a position of power, it’s quite literally theoretical only. The only reform is how far right they will go. Not left on any position.

  1. No, you were using a logical fallacy on me and implying I was naive.

  2. Leftists have gained power/influenced policy in the government before. Civil Right Act, New Deal, Teddy Roosevelt, etc.

  3. You assume Democrats can only go right when you refuse to make them go left. Self fulling prophecy there.

Sure, I wish I had your optimism.

Again with the fallacies.

Are you saying I’m making a fallacy to say you are being optimistic? Keep in mind Dems have only gone further right for the past 30 years.

You are making very bold claims that, at least to any thinking person, don’t match what the party is doing currently. I haven’t seen anything indicating any of your points would realistically happen anytime soon. If you disagree that your points are not optimistic points, that’s fine, but IMO it’s disingenuous as you say things are a “fallacy” just because you can point to some example of progressivism happening from 50+ odd years ago. It’s remarkable if you are being honest here.

  1. You are demonstrably naive

  2. You are talking about times long past, back when the Dems were actually Moderate Left. This is no longer the case. Now they are bought and paid for by lobbies, most of them. The minority that isn't bought and paid for gets cucked by the majority that is.

  3. The only way to make the Dems go left is to strategically and collectively WITHOLD our votes from them, to gain their attention. The only power we have over politicians is our votes. So instead of rewarding their lurches to the right with votes (like you did in 2024 and still want to do in the future), we should loudly and collectively withhold our votes from them. We should Punish them for bad behavior and reward them for good behavior. But you want to reward them for both good and bad behavior like you did when you voted for Copmala in 2024.

  4. Bernie himself -- AOC's rally co-host -- is now saying that a third party is the answer.

  5. The only self-fulfilling prophecy here is that you libs always kneecap third parties by saying "no one will ever vote third party".... and then lo and behold --- no one does.

  6. You are functionally a liberal. Please do not kid yourself into thinking you are a leftist or humanist. Come on now. Gimme that much honesty.

AOC was caught crying on the senate floor, when Pelosi pressured and strong-armed her into voting FOR the isreali Iron Dome funding. This happened. The leader of your "leftist side of the party" got publicly reduced to tears, cucked on camera, and whipped into line.

So when the chips are down, AOC votes like a liberal. AOC pays for death like a liberal. If it walks like a duck, if it votes like a duck then maybe...

Great point, let’s get republicans in power.

No, but you make an even better point: Let's get republicans in power by trying and laughably failing to get voters to vote for a lesser evil like Copmala! Trump owes you guys so much, dude. You made him go up against the weakest possible opponent. You should be proud of that.

Imagine handing your "enemy" the Popular Vote on a silver platter, and then pretending like he's still your worst enemy...

Yup, both sides bad. Let’s get republicans in power.

So every time the Repubs do something worse than the Dems have ever done, or would ever do, you're gonna use that as evidence that you were right to vote for Dems lol? The gap between Dems and Repubs keeps widening not because the Dems are doing more good stuff, but because the Repubs are doing more bad stuff. You are so cucked that you don't need a politician who does more good. You are satisfied with one who simply doesn't do MORE bad stuff. Where is your self esteem my guy? You keep cucking yourself.

If you demand moderate evil, you will get moderate evil. If you demand good, then maybe you'll get decency. Your expectations are all broken. A beaten and abused wife who defends her husband because he recently started removing his ring before punching her is expecting too little from her husband. Stop it. Grow a spine. Get you a new husband who doesnt punch you at all. And that starts with a divorce.

moderate evil is better

u/Suspicious_Affect959 2h ago

yes, but it's still evil. You are still evil, if only moderately so. If you accept the fact that you are a moderately evil person then we have no quarrel. (I mean i do have quarrel with every evil person, but at least we might agree on the definitions if on nothing else).

If you don't think you are evil, then explain to me how you repeatedly and knowingly voting for Moderate Evil actually makes you "good"
