Hi - I know what you’re thinking. Too much of the same color. I agree! I need help figuring out how to fix it. First three photos are my bathroom. Next three are ideas. My thought is to make the plain long wall (right -first picture) into some kind of accent wall. Should I do A) board and batten with some vintage/floral wallpaper? B) full board and batten wall? or C) full shiplap? Examples added as a reference but not sure exactly what colors I’d do. Thank you!

We finally had our primary bedroom painted after moving in. While I love green I don’t think we nailed the perfect shade but we’re going to try to make it work. We wanted moody (I think we’re on our way there) but I’d love for it to be a bit more cozy/warm.

Things on our minds: + We’re still getting resettled in the room so the mess will be dealt with. + Going to lose the comforter shortly and keep the quilt (it was cold this winter!) + Have plans for 3 vertical prints above the bed (state prints from this artist: https://wildwanderco.com/collections/fifty-states-art) They currently have dark frames that I don’t love and am considering painting (brass/gold?) + We have a large mirror that goes with the bedroom set that we’ll eventually hang over the long dresser. + The niche shelving/cabinet will get some books and frames eventually! + Looking for ideas on curtains (linen tan?), carpet, lighting (I was thinking two adjustable wall sconces above the headboard but most have opaque shades. Trying to find one with a shade that is more translucent), wall decoration, etc.

I’m trying to make my room more bright and warm, and the dark blue wall isn't sitting well with me anymore. I'd also like some furniture ideas to fill up the room and the empty space on the walls (especially above the desk.) I was also thinking of getting some wall panels with lights behind and putting them behind my desk and up to the ceiling, so I put some examples in slides 4-6. (Should I even do the whole wall? So yeah, a wall color that would look warm and inviting while also matching warm lights and my furniture.

I would like this room to have a king sized bed, a twin sized bed, 2 nightstands, a small desk, and a loveseat or 2 arm chairs. How would you lay out the furniture?

The cabinets on the walls are for long term storage, its ok if they are blocked by furniture.

Not that the picture is taken from the doorway, which is in the middle of the wall opposite the window.

I just redid my kitchen, but I can’t figure out how to handle the trim on the kitchen window…. I was kinda thinking maybe a white washed type thing - I’m positive I don’t want it to be the same color as the cabinets…. Looking for ideas

We’re renting, so I want to avoid wallpaper or paint.

Im considering trying out an accent wall or maybe painting 2 walls. My fav color is dark green which is what Im leaning towards, but I’m not sure. I want something that will compliment this ugly yellowish color that’s already there since Im not painting every wall (if the color doesnt look that yellow to you, scroll to the photo with the painting. The white and yellow walls meet there then the color stands out).

I want to paint the wall with the mirrors and possibly the one with the painting. Will that look too random?

Also would be a bonus if whatever color I use compliments that orange chair cushion I usually keep covered. The red rug and pillow would be replaced so ignore those. Also ignore the random piled furniture lol.

I feel like dark green could work and compliment my plants, but idk. Ive considered Navy too, but also not sure if going with dark colors is a good idea. I just feel like other colors will clash with that ugly yellow, but I also already struggle with natural light and dont wanna darken the place too much.

Idk what do you think?

I need some help with this room. The furniture, rug, mirror, and African masks can’t be changed (due to finances and/or sentiment). I like the idea of keeping the elephant to tie into the masks. I also do not want to put curtains in this space.

I am thinking of trying to balance out the back wall (with the narrow window) out with some narrow shelving or a plant.

Trying to improve my bedroom setup. The bed’s on the floor right now — I’m thinking about getting a minimal frame with no headboard. Planning to add a white 4x2 IKEA cube shelf where the red arrow is, but open to other ideas. Curtains are taped shut because I hate waking up to light; might switch to Velcro to keep it clean. I’ve also been using a white patio table as a desk, but it’s probably time for something better. The chair’s bulky and takes up more space than I’d like.

For bedding, I’ve just been using a few throw blankets — no proper comforter and they get tangled at night. Also open to rug suggestions that are easy to clean (senior cat in the house) and won’t make the room feel smaller. I usually keep the lighting dark and purple, but I’m open to ways to improve that too. Thanks!!!

ideally, i would like to have a bedside table and also some sort of drawers (similar to what i have presented you with) as i have quite a few things that need a place ontop of the drawers (things like my jewellery stand, etc. i also have a mirror ball, placed anywhere,it would reflect the sun)

(sorry for all the text but open to any and all suggestions thank youuuu!!!)

a few key things to mention:

• The room and proportions aren't exactly to scale (just a rough diagram)
• The wardrobe on the right-hand side is fixed and also can't be moved, also the wardrobes are all sliding mirror doors, which can't be changed
• In front of the window is also my radiator - ideally, I need to leave a few cm gap between the bed and radiator (but I have always pushed my bed up against the radiator)
• The bed isn't actually as long as the image; however, for space purposes, it shows roughly how much walking space and floor space I have around
• I do not have a rug at the moment, nor do I want the one in the picture. I'm thinking more of a round rug under the bed
• Also to point out power sockets, 2 on the right-hand side of my door along the bottom, there are also 2 in front of my bedside table and two at the bottom inside my wardrobe on the furthest left-hand side
• I cannot change my bed (single bed) - but can be moved anywhere (apart from having my head against the window - my headboard is higher than the window and I can't remove it)
• Also feel free to remove the bedside table, the drawers and the rug if need be

I have one open space for dining and living. How would you arrange this space?

We purchased our home a little less than a year ago and invested immediately in a new couch and rug. After purchasing the home our budget has tightened, understandably, but we are still hoping to fill out the living room. The original plan we worked out was to have two individual chairs and an end table of some sort between them opposite the couch.

Our family has 3 rambunctious kids (12, 9, and 6 years old) and we love spending family time together. We also have happily found ourselves to be in a pretty social neighborhood and have had other families/couples over pretty routinely. Seating for that can be a little odd with just the couch obviously. A lot of the events people come over for are either sporting events (football or F1 races) or movies.

Talking to friends and family about this, we’ve started to think about what the chairs should look like. They should be able to swivel to allow for conversation directly ahead and then also to watch whatever programming without having to move the chairs. Ideally we’d like for them to be comfy chairs (or less formal I guess) since we’re a young family and don’t do formal events pretty much ever. We’d probably prefer them to recline if possible.

Any guidance on what that type of chair looks like? And what color chairs to consider in our space? A little direction goes a long ways!

• top: windows open into the side of the house, a few feet away from the fence separating us from the neighbors
• left: sliding doors opening into closet
• right: door to bathroom
• bottom: door leading into the house's entryway

I'd really appreciate some help with the layout and furnishing the space. I'm going to be spending 90% of my time in front of the computer, but another place to sit would be really nice as well.

I’m feeling stuck with my living room layout and could use some advice.

The fireplace is centered on one of the 12’ walls and is definitely the main focal point (right now, the old TV is sitting on the floor blocking it). On the longer walls, I have a door to the garage on one side and a sliding door to the backyard on the other, both centered on their walls. On the wall opposite the fireplace, there’s an opening to the kitchen — it’s like a pony wall with an arch above it.

I’m planning to repaint and refurnish the whole room, so this is basically a blank slate. I’ve added some mockups of the room empty if that helps.

The main issues I’m stuck on: - TV placement: The logical spot seems to be above the fireplace, but I know that’s not ideal design-wise. Putting it on either side wall would divide the room into two smaller spaces, which isn’t great if I want to entertain a group and have everyone comfortably see the screen. Corner placement might also look odd because the mantle is so big. What would you suggest? - Seating: I originally wanted a sectional, but I’m not sure if that would feel too cramped since I need to keep access to both doors clear. Should I still consider a smaller sectional, or would a different setup work better?

I want the space to be functional but still feel cozy and able to accommodate 2–6 guests. I’m worried it might not be possible given the constraints, but I’m open to any ideas.
