Photo or Video Is there such a thing as a piebald mallard?

We saw these two ducks in a canal near Amsterdam. Are they just mallards with weird markings? We saw a white duck the night before, so maybe it's a feral Pekin and these are related. Any ideas?

There are some interesting natural color morphs but dumped domestics are more likely. Maybe an Ancona for the black and white

I think that's a leucistic mallard. It's a lack of pigmentation, but not full albino.

Yeah we were really curious about it! How can you tell it's a leucistic mallard and not a Pekin?

Pekins are usually large and they are usually all white. This duck is beige and looks small. Also I have one of each in my flock. It might not be a mallard but it's for sure leucistic bids, snakes and lizards all come in leucistic coloring.

That's Pumpkin she is a leucistic mallard.

Oh she's so pretty! I did mean to note that it was sunset when we took pics of the white duck, so it was whiter than it looks. But it was about the same size as the mallards nearby, so I guess that mean some type of color-varied mallard. Thank you for the further info! I'm hoping we'll see the white one again before we leave and maybe get a better picture.

Oh if it's whiter than that I could be wrong.
