Duck egg in water

My ducks are very bad by laying eggs in water so I want to hatch them but how long can ducks eggs last in the water my pond I have is mid temperature but filled with slime will they be ok to hatch or have already died

You can certainly try hatching them, though I’d probably only take eggs laid day-of. My first ducks laid in the water for a little while. I had 2 of 6 water eggs hatch.
