Gallery I repaired my wah pedal
My Ibanez WD7 wah half-died (see: i damaged it). The "special" IC that created the effect (NJM2777) got damaged due to overvoltage. After trying a couple of circuits, this one is the one that won!
V2164 (Quad-VCA) used with single supply, and TL072 for virtual ground and control voltage inversion. PCB milled at work's CNC (yes, i'm privileged😁)
Quick 3d print to hold it in the casing (using existing screw ofc) and back in action!
So happy i could rescue my 15year old beloved beast with ~€7 in parts (and saved ~150 for a new wah!)

Nice fix, well done. But why not just buy a NJM2777?

If you can find me one, I'd be glad to put it back in 😅
The distributors i know/use only sell full 2000 piece reels of it ☹2

Yeah, I see the 2000pcs MOQ, But you can find on EBay, Aliexpress, Amazon EBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/203239819144 - and I even think I have a few somewhere

I avoid these websites for electronic components really, just a personal thing. Shoot me a DM if you manage to find any, and are willing to part ways with one of them 😁

I have used all with a very, very good success rate, I just purchased some very old an obsolete stuff from both EBay and taobao here in China. Incredibly cheap, and worked just fine….
