FWIW I’m in my 40s and had my titers checked to see if I needed a booster and I actually did. Folks who got their shots in the 80s or further back might want to check in to see if a booster is a good idea.

Yeah. I did this and needed another MMR (Measles, Mumps, Ruebella) a few years ago. It's a good idea to have your titers done.

Snohomish County health officials identified another positive case of measles on Tuesday, the second case confirmed in just over two weeks within the county.
It’s the third case of measles to be confirmed in Washington state this year. The first was identified in a King County infant on Feb. 26, the second was identified on March 18 in a Snohomish County adult. The most recent case was in a Snohomish County infant.
Both cases in Snohomish County were identified in individuals who did not have confirmed vaccinations, the Snohomish County Health Department said Wednesday.
“Our thoughts are with the child and their family, and we sincerely hope for a full and speedy recovery,” Dr. James Lewis, health officer for the Snohomish County Health Department, wrote in a release Wednesday. “Measles is a serious and highly contagious disease, and young children — especially those who are too young to be vaccinated — are particularly vulnerable to its complications.”

I can't believe this qualifies as news.

A preventable illness that could kill children isn't newsworthy to you?
Weird.

I went and checked this user's mod log, and they're a covid denier, claim BLM is "worse" than J6, posted apologia for the soup nazi, and says that if you don't frequent Chik-fil-a then you "just hate christians"

To be fair I don’t frequent chik-fil-a and I do hate Christians.

well, that's probably too broad a brush to paint with. I think religion is silly, but I don't hate someone because they are so.

It’s a bit more philosophical for me. I don’t hate the people, but I hate what the religion makes them. As a cultural experience, I hate Christians and I hate being around them.

It sounds like you are wording a viewpoint I agree with in an intentionally inflammatory way. I feel like that kind of language can alienate you from people of that persuasion unnecessarily.

I’m exvangelical. I’m supremely unconcerned with making them feel welcome after 35 years of making me feel unwelcome in my own skin. And especially not when they’re actively working toward a society in their image when their culture wants me dead.

Well, I boycott Bigot-fil-a AND I hate hypocritical Christians (so, most of them)... so something tells me we should take a road trip together!
(Just need a film crew to record the hilarity that ensues ...)

If only we had a way to stop this horrible disease!
