Good job Everett! Way to go. I also like seeing all the folks on Broadway every Friday. Lifts my spirit to see folks out protesting what has been going on.

So every Friday they're there? Do you know where I can find info? I didn't go today and I need to get involved.

Snohomish County Indivisible organizes it. https://www.snocoindivisible.org/blank-3

I recommend going to womensmarch.com, because they have a really big event calendar. (not just for women LOL), or Google Indivisible Events. We have an Indivisible Snohomish County chapter that works on a lot of these events. *Edit: also https://www.fiftyfifty.one/events

Good job fam, proud of you all!

I should have gone to this and regret not going. I did feel a little weird because I'd be by myself. But I know I'd feel so much better about the state of things if I was active and actually interacted with like-minded humans instead of sitting on my couch doom-scrolling.

Don’t feel bad, contribute how you can. The protests and numbers are meant to send a message but what really matters is taking time out of your day to donate, vote, and stand up in any capacity to this bullshit.

tons of people were by themselves. A lot of it is listening to speakers, or waving your signs at cars. People are friendly and happy to see everyone there supporting the cause. Go to the next one!

I will, thank you, do you know when would be the next one?

I am so proud of Everett! It was very cathartic to get out and protest.

I had to work all day but I've been so impressed to see our neighbors turn out like this. Great job everyone!

10

u/JFK108 14h ago

Us folks that don’t work over the weekend got you covered!

What a great day this was! Very motivating to be with like-minded people, and to get pictures from friends all over the country doing the same thing

20

u/JoanJetObjective13 16h ago

Aw man I’m seeing this too late! I was even looking for something to do today! Looks like a great turn out though!

Aw, damn....

I'm hidden behind one of my friends I ran into there. It was a great event, especially when that one speaker was saying "WE WILL NOT, BE SILENCED!" - and blew out the speaker system.

u/JFK108 14h ago

That Russian woman Natasha was fucking badass!

9

u/QueenFreya2000 14h ago

I'm not very tall, ok? Could not get the camera up over thos cars. 😆 But there are people all along the sidewalk, all along the other side in front of the building, and the entire plaza in the middle is sunken down and was filled with people too. Good job, Everett!

Saw the big crowd while driving my southbound 7! So glad to see everyone standing up for what's right!

Nice I’m so happy to see this in our community but my heart breaks that we need to. Glad everyone was safe(hoping so anyway)

What is this all about? Hands off what?

4

u/LRAD 11h ago

If you're curious, you can do a web search, or look at other threads in this subreddit.

5

u/JFK108 11h ago

Or read the signs in the photo

4

u/LRAD 11h ago

lol, good point.

It really was such a beautiful day. I can't believe that many people couldn't find something better to do.

15

u/PapaTua 14h ago

Better than exercising their free speech? What are you, anti-american?

-10

u/tinychloecat 13h ago

It's an important right, no doubt. But the guy did 4 years, was protested constantly, got impeached twice, and then won the popular vote. It just seems pointless. If people want to shout, then so be it. I'm just surprised that many people had this high up on their to do list. Especially on a nice weekend.

12

u/JFK108 12h ago

That’s what everyone in power wants people to feel like. It’s important no matter what that we make it clear that we are here and we don’t stand for this shit.

17

u/Useful-Dragonfly-944 14h ago

What could be more important than standing up for democracy?

12

u/hedge-hag 13h ago

We were outside, in the sunshine, laughing with our friends and making new ones. You should try it.

u/Important_You_763 13h ago

What’s the point of all this?
