self promo Feedback for feedback (honest)
Hey everyone,
I just released a new track called "Mirror, Mirror on the Wall" – it’s an IDM/experimental piece with a dark, surreal vibe, built around a kind of drunken groove and layered with Indian percussion and ambient textures. I’d love to hear what you think – whether it’s about the production, the composition, the mix, or even just the vibe.
In return, I’d be more than happy to check out your music and give some honest feedback too. Let’s help each other out 🙌

It's a good track and it builds well, although it felt a little anticlimactic to me. I half expected it to pick back up again at the end. I can't disagree with others. Some other layer/dynamic or sense of melody may have been beneficial, but it's ultimately subjective.
I also caught your track "ethical wacker". Interesting but chill and mellow. Nice ear candy toward the end. I liked that one more. Your mix style is nice. Great textures.
There is absolutely no pressure to give feedback in return, but I did drop a track today should you feel inclined. I would very broadly describe it as "experimental" (it's hard to know where I fit at the moment):

thanks for the feedback bro! i heard your track and i have to say that its very good, the way you played with reverb, especially during the hook when your vocals widens and the ending was so good that "with me,with me" part it literally felt like i went somewhere else and then came back, also the way you ended it with a entire different tone like we are in some kind of a horror movie. one thing i would recommend is that you should have layered some other sounds alongside the guitar although it was good but adding some electronic sounds here and there would make the overall verse part more interesting

Thank you so much for the feedback and the kind words. Can I just check if it was 'Discomfort' you listened to? I only ask because it sounds like you're describing 'Comfort" (easy to get those confused - i probably should have named the track rather than just linking!). Comfort is quite raw and i think I would agree with your criticism if that's the case. I look back on the first chunk of the song and feel I could have done more. Discomfort does bring in a lot more layers though, so if you're talking about that one that's interesting.

oh sorry man i actually heard 'comfort' now after hearing 'discomfort' i just want to say that its a pretty good track and its felt like a fusion of folk,uk garage and rock kinda music, overall i enjoyed it but the ending i think is a little too complicated which can be intentional, also while listening to it i was just imaging myself in the crowd where this track is playing live

Thank you for taking the time to listen. The ending definitely has a lot going on! I appreciate the honest critique. That last segment was very challenging to make work and it's possible I didn't quite hit the nail on the head.

you should definitely shoot a music video for it if possible

That hadn't occurred to me for this particular release. Did you imagine anything in particular?

I have to agree with soundisloud regarding MMotW. It really needs a little more to keep it interesting.
However I really enjoyed your tracks null and point of no return. Short ambient pieces with interesting synth textures that convey a sense of otherworldly atmosphere and space.

i really like this. build up is good, i found indian percussion so good on this experimental song. i saw youtube clip, so animation adds more layers for this song.

overall it was a good unfinished track, which can later transform into something really beautiful and rave kinda music

i liked the idea of your track as it is a demo but i would suggest to make space for noise and synth as they both somehow merge into eachother, other than that i also liked when the kick starts to appear there is a panning effect going on which was very good and well thought as most people would die but not pan their kicks

As constructive feedback, the two biggest areas for improvement I see are
- it takes a long time to really get into the track, so tightening up the pacing a bit. the first 30 seconds feel link 'intro' and that's asking a lot of patience of the listener. i would introduce the beat within the first 10 seconds, or if you are trying to make that first 30 seconds an engaging ambient bit, it needs to have more going on.
- this is maybe a personal preference but having some kind of melody goes a really long way. i feel like this is the framework for a song but needs something for the listener to latch onto to remember.

I’m a bit late to the party here. I really enjoyed the percussion and glitchy/industrial drums on your track. This is the stuff i could work out to. The track is lowkey but intense at the same time which is the perfect balance. Keep up the great experimental work!
No obligation to listen, but i have this track from my latest project you can check out if you want. https://open.spotify.com/track/1BM1A92GFqcsH3luzsAP5Z?si=DQolHcE_TOS2FUY1OsHjqw
