Why? Stupidity, wilful ignorance, and a lack of appropriate consequences for them.

Measles was not that child's cause of death, just so happened the child was not vaxxed but died on a ventilator... I never vaxxed for measles, purposely got measles as a child, never vaxxed for covid, never got covid - does that mean my naturally gained immunity to measles made me also immune to covid?

u/Kitsunin 11d ago
So basically, when two things happen and it can be explained and observed as cause and effect, you think there's no cause and effect. When two things happen and can't be explained or observed as cause and effect, you think there must be a cause and effect.
Ok????

u/Pacific_Expose 11d ago
Measles did not kill the child, just like pneumonia killed people with covid...
BTW - cause literally implies an effect OK?

It's reasonable to assume OP's question was why are they still anti-vax. My reply answers that.
-5
u/Pacific_Expose 11d ago
They are still anti-vax because measle virus did not kill the child
6
u/Unindoctrinated 10d ago
The only reasons to be anti-vax are stupidity, wilful ignorance, and gullibility.

It'd be difficult to find a more discredited quack. The scientifically disproven bullshit she spreads has no doubt cost many people their lives. She should have her license to practice medicine revoked.

On a side note, if you want any claim you make to be taken seriously, look for a better source than Joe Rogan. If you can't find a reputable source, ask yourself why that might be.

You mean like Fauci?
1
u/Unindoctrinated 8d ago
Nice attempt at deflection, but I'm not falling for it. Nothing about Fauci, whether true or false, would change fact that Humphries is a disreputable quack.
There are mountains of verifiable, scientific, peer-reviewed evidence that proves beyond all doubt that the pseudoscience she peddles is just plain false. I'm surprised she's not also a flat-earther or chem-trail believer. She's certainly no less wrong that they are.1
u/Pacific_Expose 8d ago
LOL flat earther origin is simply the belief of the use of printed maps, hence "four corners of the world"
Ants used chem-trails for millions of years, guessin because it works

Sooo... Does getting shot in the head kill a person, or is it bleeding out and the heart stopping doing the killing there?

u/Pacific_Expose 9d ago

I'm more surprised they (the parents) have survived that long beinf anti vax bit that's just the power of stupidity keeping them alive
10
u/Head_Razzmatazz7174 12d ago
The parents were vaccinated as children, were brainwashed into the 'vaccines cause autism' mindset, and are determined not to repeat their parents "mistakes".

u/paradox-preacher 12d ago
when you print "do not ingest" on tide pods, and they live to not vax their kids

u/TKG_Actual 12d ago
And now you know why certain people want to end the department of education...to make more yokels like these two.

u/TKG_Actual 12d ago
Holy shit those two look like they both have an extra chromosome, and it's from a farm animal.

This is why: https://youtu.be/UyW8IJdl8w8?si=ng5UgF6KRVlt0erQ (I do not condone this viewpoint)

These two must be so delusional that they must've eaten tide pods for meal times

Depends on your version of stupidity - me unvaxxed with natural immunity - a pureblood non-GMO https://youtu.be/1199cr2IiC8

Before the measles vaccine was introduced in 1963, it was not uncommon for parents to intentionally expose their children to measles to ensure they contracted the disease while young and recovered. This practice was based on the understanding that measles provided lifelong immunity once a person had the disease, and it was often seen as a rite of passage for children

Child was put on a ventilator, then died, the same ventilator treatment that killed a lot of Covid patients, just saying
1
u/m4cksfx 9d ago
Fucking hell. Why is it that "the treatment" killed them, and not "the thing which necessitated them being treated"?
0
u/Pacific_Expose 9d ago
Wrong treatment, a common occurrence in hospitals, especially for the elderly https://www.forbes.com/sites/robertpearl/2015/06/11/how-hospitals-can-kill-us/

Ventilators for covid wasn't what they thought "...pulmonologist says it's 70/30 with 30% survival from what he has seen" - if it were a plane or boat ride, no thanks https://www.reddit.com/r/nursing/s/MvKGHrj0q7

Ok, it's possible that it's me who is understanding something very wrong here, but... You do realize that it's a case of "even this was not enough to prevent them dying", and not "they died because they got that treatment"? They died despite being put on/in (I don't know which is proper in English) a ventilator, not because of it? If it's done, it's because you already are in an almost deadly condition. And it's also what it's meant in the post you linked. People who needed that care were in a bad enough health that 2/3 of them died.

Measles is spreading rapidly in West Texas, with 159 cases as of Tuesday...MMR vaccine. Two doses are 97% effective. So, guessing losing 4 maybe 5 of the vaccinated is an acceptable percentage for many. https://www.nbcnews.com/health/health-news/measles-new-mexico-resident-tests-positive-death-rcna195231
