I genuinely don’t understand what reason these people have to do this shit. What is people’s obsession nowadays with acting like they’re in a constant competition for who’s the most broken or traumatized lol.

To gain attention probably, and also to provide an excuse for being an arsehole.

I was homeschooled so I have no idea if kids my age were doing this too, but I was wayyyyyy too ashamed back then to tell anyone my disorders bc I was desperate to be normal. This new mentality where disorders are all the rage is so wild to me 😭 like how did this happen lol

It's the modern version of "guys/girls with emotional baggage"

Guess so. Honestly would rather see people juicing their emotional baggage than faking disorders because they make it hard for people who actually have mental issues to get help and they further water down peoples understanding of most illnesses.

The second slide is ridiculous. You mean you don’t like your friends telling other people you have DID not because it’s a serious breach in privacy and trust to tell people that you have a heavily stigmatized disorder caused from extreme trauma but because they… messed up your ‘diagnosis’? I personally think I would care more about the fact that my friends are sharing such sensitive information about me without asking me, but I guess I’m not the one with the tiktok account for my disorder

I don’t think they know what 50% means

3

u/Away-Significance622 11d ago

50% of the given category

u/Ashdory 20d ago

50% on 7 different things? more like 14.29% to make it correct

u/Dee4WasTaken Hygienic system 17d ago

its actually 8 things. 4 groups of 2 assumingly, or not.

I love that you did the math on that😆

u/Away-Significance622 11d ago

50% on said category, between males and females 50/50, between humans and nonhumans 50/50, etc.

How can you even be 50% LGBTQ+? This is a type of thing where you either are or aren't. I do not think they even understand the meaning of 50%.

I think they're saying 50% of their alters are lgbtq and 50% aren't? No idea

1

u/Away-Significance622 11d ago

this video was a joke, the percentages are extremely rounded up or down, especially for lgbtq+ and non-lgbtq+ because it’s actually like 75/25

u/Dee4WasTaken Hygienic system 17d ago

i get 50/50 on 2 different things of the same concept

but if you're referring to grouping everything as 50%

your math is wrong.

it'd be 12.5% for all.

5

u/Away-Significance622 14d ago

50% of whatever category is there, so of males and females, it’d be 50/50
