This is a comprehensive list of resources for those in need of an abortion
Update I guess I've been mass reported for posting these links over Reddit becuase they've suspended my account for "violating content policy". I've tried to appeal multiple times but they don't even reply. Please keep posting these links, now that Roe has been overturn we need them more than ever.
This is a list of resources I’m compiling for people who need an abortion. If you know of any other resource not listed here please let me know and I’ll add it to the list.

Please beware of websites that sell fake abortion pills and fake clinics run by religious groups where they lie and spread misconceptions about abortion to trick people into keeping their fetus. They also promise help and resources that never materialize. The best way to avoid these fake clinics is learning how to recognize them, so I’m linking a couple of short documentaries on the subject that include hidden camera footage exposing their deceptive tactics:
- The Fake Abortion Clinics Of America: Misconception
- Crisis Pregnancy Centers: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver
Note- Some of these websites may be blocked in your country by your internet service provider. You can bypass this block using a VPN like this one, it's free, safe and easy to install. To get rid of banners and pop-ups you can install uBlock Origin and Popup Blocker. They work on most browsers, on phone as well on PC and it takes a few seconds to install them.

Why is there not more talk about the lack of rights for women in developing countries?
And how can we help? We mainly talk about feminism in North America and how we still suffer from it, which is 100% true. But theres so little talk about women in developing countries who LITERALLY don’t have basic human rights period. It bothers me. Take a look at the things happening in Afghanistan, it’s downright cruel. Is there anything we can do to support these women?

Help advocate to Abolish the Wisconsin Tampon Tax!
Hey all! I’m an 11th grade student currently taking a class called APP (American public policy) and in this class we have to advocate for something we believe in. For my project I wanted to focus on abolishing Wisconsins unconstitutional 5% sales tax on menstrual products. Please help a girl out by signing, thanks! 😋

Phyllis Schlafly
Was like a real-life Serena Waterford pre-gillead. She was also one of the biggest enemies to the feminist movement, reproductive freedom, and lgbtq+ rights-the ULTIMATE PICK-ME. If you all are interested, i wrote my latest podcast episode about her and how we're still feeling the effects of her grifting to this day-not teying to spam-just super proud of it, and thought you all might enjoy. The hook/beginning of the episode includes the story of Selena Maria Chandler-Scott, the woman from Tifton, Georgia who was recently released from jail after being charged/held x 1 week with concealment/abandonment of a "dead body".. Let me know what you think, if you listen 💖

TikTok is a joke when it comes to breaking the guidelines
I saw a man promoting a misogynistic post in which he jokes about a girl's ass, I reported it and got the "We didn't find anything wrong" notification.
On the flip side, I've seen people (mostly women) who don't spread hate or say anything vulgar in their comments or posts which target primarily men but TikTok decides it's totally inappropriate.

How can we methodically help women flee patriarchal societies?
I just discovered the Tiktok of Jasmin.shares at @.> jasmineshares11 - who comes from a family involved in politics in what seems to be a MENA country - and is trying to raise funds to seek asylum abroad. She is receiving death threats and hiding in another country temporarily and claims to be escaping an honor killing.
She is doing a 30 day trend of rebirth and trying to acquire followers to raise sufficient money to fly into (somewhere in Europe I assume) and seek asylum. She seems to be somewhat lucky in being well educated and having already published a poetry book about escaping the patriarchy.
I want to help promote her, but most importantly, she is far from the only one.
There are so many women out there who need help from the West. What organizations exist to help them? How can we, as online bystanders, best help them? Who do we connect them with?
I feel like a tiny fish in the ocean hitting up UN Women on twitter. I also don't know what they could do to help. It's very expensive to take out every single woman who escapes from these countries, and any refuges I assume would become targets for those who are hunting them down.

Any recommendations for tv shows where feminism isn’t just about sleeping with men?
I really hope the title doesn’t come across as shaming or like I have some internalised misogyny because I promise its not like that at all.
I don’t know if it’s my karma for watching a Netflix original but oh my god it is so infuriating when the only time they talk about or mention feminism is when a woman has sex?
I’m not a sexual person especially when it comes to men so maybe i just don’t understand and need more education on sex positivity being apart of feminism and I would love to learn if anyone is open to educating me and showing me where to start?
I apologise if my wording is bad or comes off the wrong way

Sexism in fandom & pop culture
hiya, first post here. lmk if it doesn't belong or if there's another sub i could put this on. i'm doing a project for my women's studies class and i chose to do a presentation on the topic of misogyny in fandom and pop culture since i'm a huge nerd. i've done some basic research but i wanted to reach out here to see if anyone has thoughts or knows of some examples on any of the following points:
- Gendered harassment in both online and IRL fandom spaces
- Gatekeeping of female fans from majority-male fandoms and diminishing of majority-female fandoms (e.g. criticism of certain media is based on how popular it is with girls or women instead of discussing any actually problematic aspects)
- Harassment directed at actresses/female performers etc.
- Female characters often being held to a higher standard than male characters (e.g. flawed fem characters are harshly judged and condemned while flawed male characters have their flaws excused or justified)
- Female characters being over-sexualized or being judged based on appearance
- The “Mary Sue”
- More that I can’t think of right now
Feel free to link any websites/articles/resources in the comments, suggest any other points that i may have missed, or especially share your own personal experiences with fandoms and nerd culture, thank you :]

I've made a new subreddit. It's been weeks but it still only has 200 members. What should I do to make it more popular? Come join r/Greatestwomen you'll love it.

Clothing is more restrictive already from birth
My 2 months old baby girl is receiving clothes as gifts - and among them, lots of frilly dresses. Which made me wonder, once she starts rolling, crawling, etc, would not they be more uncomfortable for her to move freely? I remembered an article about the “gender play gap”, which showed how school uniforms with skirts and modesty concerns for girls limit their ability and will to participate in sports, which is so sad. I have also witnessed my sister in law not letting her daughter play in the sand because she was wearing nice clothes. I would absolutely hate for my daughter to be restricted in this way , especially when she is too young to care which clothes she is wearing. I just want her to be comfortable and do what she wants to do (that said, I foresee those frilly dresses being donated after being worn once for a photo).

We need to focus on the type of language we use
I just had a thought after I saw a TikTok video about a 7 yo girl that had been Sa’d and they speaker said she had been forced to “lose her innocence”, I don’t think we should use this type of language talking about child sa victims as it has some negative connotations like being impure, dirty, or even guilty and a child is not to blame, is still a child, and is still innocent and needs to be protected. Children shouldn’t have to hold the crimes committed against them and think a better word choice would be better. This applies to so many other areas where language is subtly damaging like the whole issue with posts online that compare or contrast “men and women” but they specifically always use the wording “men and females”

Is anyone’s dad redpill?
My dad is redpill and he always told me if a man loves you he will wait for sex he won’t pressure you. If he is giving you gifts he is expecting some thing (sex). Basically he always told me to be wary of men. Raise your standards. Don’t let a man take advantage of you.
Do redpill men normally teach their daughters to have standards but get mad at women who have those same standards? It just seems odd they want their daughters to have self respect but get mad at women doing that.
