at this point he's just looking for the perfect excuse to kill all retail operations and gift himself and his buddies a nice golden parachute with all the money super stupid gladly gave him, to then play a bit with his microstrategy wannabe endeavor

I'm reminded of Tucker Carlson's creepy Trump diatribe about how "Daddy is coming home and you're getting a spanking"

https://www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnbc-opinion/tucker-carlson-donald-trump-daddy-spanking-rcna177097

Apes, you are the 15yo girl getting spanked in this analogy.

I mean the Americans do deserve some spanking for this

And when we say that, we mean the ones of voting age.

Unlike Mr Fox News whose fantasies involved a fifteen year old girl and a toddler.

Millions of us didn’t vote for this shit

The small scale of the resistance is disappointing tho. Since Trump took office there were multiple demos in Europe which were larger than anything in the US for stuff where the situation is less serious than in the US

2

u/Rokos_Bicycle 22h ago

The Europeans know there aren't armed cultists and fanatics out to get them

lol what? In most countries, widespread protests meet resistance by armed police and military out to get them. You think people just don’t bother because of that?

Sounds like a very productive system the Europeans have. I'm sure protests in Europe and clashes with police will change the policies of a nuclear-armed superpower.

Maybe if they showed up for work once in a while and didn't take 12 weeks of vacation they could win a trade war through... trade.

I mean I lived through part of a 30 year civil conflict in my country. I’m pretty sure the protests, clashes and armed struggle had a huge impact lol

I’m not sure what your other point was about? Yeah we have workers rights. People fought and died for civil rights and workers rights. It would have been pretty useless if we didn’t have them now?

More a joke about the stochastic terrorism of the modern US right...

Anyway the news has just reached the arse end of the world here that Americans are protesting in numbers.

u/Bhfuil_I_Am 7h ago

I mean, are they? In every other western country there would be mass protests shutting down cities, widespread general strikes and rioting by this stage.

If this is happening in America, it’s definitely not being reported worldwide

We're not being occupied; there's nothing to "resist". There was an election, now you have to accept the results. We put people in jail for "resisting" on January 6th, 2021.

This isn't Europe; we go to work and be productive rather than having constant strikes and complaining. In what universe would a demonstration in Europe change the course of American foreign policy? That's just Europeans looking for another excuse not to go to work.

Many of us didn't vote for a global trade war, dammit, but by golly we're going to win it!

A bill to rein in President Trump’s tariff powers already has seven Republican co-sponsors in the U.S. Senate, the Wall Street Journal reports.

This is how we do things in America. Through the rule of law and political representation.

And millions of you did. That’s how elections work

I'm pretty sure having repressed daddy issues is a requirement before you can get hired as a fox new host

u/dbcstrunc Who’s your ladder repair guy? 1d ago

Oh, you apes were so looking forward to all those Switch 2 revenue numbers hitting in the next quarter.

Well, maybe ask your CEO how his favorite President fucked that up.

They have to figure pricing and all sorts of stuff. When tariffs change weekly they cant plan. Mistakes cost them money. Its easier to pump the brakes. Give nintendo credit for trying to get it right in these crazy times

u/sunnycorax 🕴️Memestocks' Dick Tracy🕴️ 1d ago

So basically we are about to get a price change for US markets so they are stopping preorders till they can figure out what that price is. Fun times.

u/whut-whut 1d ago

Apes are lucky that Trump pays zero attention to video games. If he found out that Japan was charging $600 for a $450 console because of his tariff increases, he'd probably increase tariffs on Japan again.

3

u/Pristine-Aspect-3086 1d ago

the tariffings will continue until price levels improve

At this point I play 99% digital indie games anyway.

But I thought Trump was going to make GME go to the moon? 🚀 🚀 🚀

Looks like Teddy's going to have to add Atari to its conglomerate of resurrected businesses.
