Asking Question (Rule 4) Best laptop for graphics design?..
Hey you guys! First of all, I apologize if my English is kind of all over the place it’s not my mother language :| I’m new to graphic design and planning to buy a new laptop because my current one can’t really handle Photoshop or AI, so what I’m asking is what are your recommendations? Keep in mind I’m an unemployed student so my budget is low…

no knows what the heck "budget is low" means. post a budget AND currency.
AND mention your OS preference.

My apologies! Since I live in a different country the budget doesn’t really make sense in USD but I have around 4000 SAR which is 1100 USD that doesn’t seem like much but I can get a half decent laptop with this amount here (especially if they are on sale)… I’m used to Windows but I don’t really have strong opinions about operating systems

When I started my freelancing business and my budget was relatively low I went with a Lenovo Legion and it lasted a good 5 years with no issues, running Photoshop, after effect and illustrator at the same time. As someone mentioned already, get the highest CPU/GPU/RAM/Storage you can get

Get something i5 7 th to 10th gen, 12gb ram should do the trick, it should cost you around 400-600$ or less if you get a nice deal. This should be a good low budged laptop. People love to flex their i9 14th gen 5090 making you think that you need it, but trust me you don't.
Not that much long ago, i bought a cheap hp elitebook x360 1030 for the touch screen feature, just to realize I can do most of my work on that laptop lol. For me, it waa eye opening moment on what laptops can do, and how easy you can get a decent laptop to do some light work.
When i say light work, i used to edit 10-15 photos in the same time in photoshop.
Hope this helps

Usually a low end “gaming laptop” will serve you best. Mac’s cost way too much for what you get spec wise and a gaming laptop has more than enough muscle to handle creative suite, even after effects, etc. An Acer Nitro 5 for example is a good buy. They probably have a newer version as mine is a few years old now, but I got it for 1100 dollars and it runs everything and is compact with a decent cooling solution.

Going "back" for an M1 Macbook would be a solid choice.

You need that apple icon if you want the people to respect you. Just like you need the blue message bubble in you chats.

As much processor, GPU and memory you can afford. Think as each of these as sliders. More memory, probably less GPU and processor for the money. Same for the others.
