Question - Solved Modding problems
New to modding and tried to get the game on my new computer with HD mod and Hota but it doesn't seem to work. I downloaded of GoG but it looks like it's formated different than in the youtube tutorials on the matter for some reason and the mods don't seem to find the game.
I alsow found multiple download links for the mods and am not quite shure and am not shure what the right ones are.
Any advice on what I am doing wrong would be appreciated

Semes like I got it after a bit of trying and was able to insall it (don't ask me how, I have no idea or GoG download experience, so that was probably it)
Now all I have to do is to figure put how to retroactivly create a Desktop icon so I don't need to search for the "hd launcher.exe" in my folders and the fun can beginn.
My thanks to everyone answering, I thing it helpt me to search in the right direktion

Click right on "hd launcher.exe" => choose "create shortcut" ("Verknüpfung erstellen" in German? google sucks for some reason to check if it's correct term) => cut and paste it on desktop.
As for your other issue - GoG offers download of installers. You have to still manually install the game after downloading the exe file. Also other thing - if you installed the game in default location inside "Program Files" folder ("Programme" I guess?) HD mod will have issues with working. If you installed it in the location visible on screenshots you should be fine though.

Well are you sure you selecting the folder where the game is installed other then that idk every download website is legit

Yes I did select the "games" (Spiele) folder from the first picture via the "browse" feature after download from the site. Only shows steam library, Warcraft 3 and sid Meiers pirates, all of them having the same icon as shown in the tutorials which is why I suspekt a formating issue.
Forever ago I alsow think I was able to add a mod by dragging the mod file into the game file, but that does not seem to work either

Well, I don't see any HOMM folder on your first screen. Check where you've downloaded it or reinstal it where you need it.

You need to select Heroes And might of magic folder specifically so you installed it somewhere else

Have you actually installed the game?
Run the gog installer, and after installation is complete run the hota installer as well and select the folder where you have previously installed heroes3 via gog installer.
