Question - Solved Why does my game look like this?

I used to play the game on the PC and Android device (with VCMI) and it worked great. Recently I got a new Android device, so naturally the first thing I did was to install VCMI and heroes. For whatever reason, the game uses some alternative art that I don't like. How do I revert back to the original art? The game didn't look like this on the previous android device nor does it look like this on my PC (which is what I used for VCMI). I tried to see if I have some mods installed but as far as I can tell the installed mods I have shouldn't mess with the art (and I am pretty sure I had the same mods installed on the previous phone).
I would greatly appreciate your help. Thanks!

It's just the portraits that changed?

It's surely due to a map that you downloaded wich use some custom portraits, usualy this was because of a lord of the ring map but this one seems différent, i'm pretty sure there's something to change in the game data file but i dont remember how.

I'll look for it tomorrow i'll try to give you an answer

Édit: i would try to uninstall the maps first

Thank you so much! It seemed like "a song of ice & fire" changed the art - uninstalling it solved the issue (I'm not sure why it changed the art - it happened in all of the maps, I tried vikings we shall go for example).

Thanks a lot!

It's because this Map "mod" changes something in the game data file that is linked to each hero portrait, it's for the whole game not only that selected map. As i said it was a pretty frequent issue with an older lord of the ring custom map (maybe it was a WOG map but i'm not sure), so i was pretty sure that was where your problem was coming from.

Anyway you're welcome 🙂
