Question - Solved HD mod cant find the HoMM3 complete

Hey!

As the title says, the installer cannot find the files on my pc, even though i pick it through GoG. I deleted my HD mod today because it wouldnt let me play after a failed update. It constantly wanted to update but it kept failing. I researched and found out the best way was to reinstall everything, but well, back to the title im just stuck here. Any ideas?

Hey, thanks for the response!

I followed the guide and got the mod running again. Now im stuck with a new problem:

I wont let me update! I can run the game, play a few rounds and then it just closes, telling me it needs to update. Problem is, everytime i try to update, i get this message: "Unable to install the update to systemfolder Program Files!
Please choose another folder"
But i dont get the option to choose!

You made a mistake in the very first step, you installed Heroes 3 Complete into the Program FIles folder, which is not allowed.

  1. Install Heroes 3 Complete. Do not install the game in “Program Files” folder. Use the C: or D: drive directly (or D:\Games\).
