Question - Solved How to install hota?

I've tried installing hota, but when i select the folder i wanna install it in it says something like: "Horn of The Abyss files not found. Select the correct folder" (i'm installing it in a different language).

You must select a folder where original complete or SoD homm is

i tried it in the "Homm 3 Complete" folder, it doesnt work

I had to install the original folder directly on C:

It didnt work on folder that was in program files

it's not in program files, but in GOG games

Yep. Mine was also. Had to unistall it and install it in C:

Worked like charm after that

i already installed it, turns out i was trying to install a translation without the mod

Note that a recent change made it impossible to install HotA (or at least the HD mod, which comes pre-packaged with HotA) on top of a game installed in Program Files folder on Windows 8/10/11. Installing games in Program Files folder in general is not recommended to begin with, mind.

it turns out i tried installing a hota translation without the mode itself (im so dumb)
