I love getting this item. So I am a necro spammer. I love to get a hero high level and send him out with nothing but vamp lords. The fight will start with it saying to retreat but momma didn't raise no whimp. The AI gets confused because I only have one large stack of vamp lords. I end the battle with no losses and all his artifacts.

For sure! It's too perfect of a reference to not fill you in. 

As a necro player, the cuffs are the most important artifact for me after the pieces of the cloak.

Oh man I for sure would. The new changes were pretty awesome minus that one. The new first aid is dope.

Is there a spot that gives a step by step on how to do it? I've been content running with the vanilla version from GoG so far and have been hesitant to try downloading and tweaking things I'm not familiar with.

I love getting this with armageddon. Its rare that arma doesn't kill everything in 1 cast and that my phoenixes cant finish off the remainder of the enemies army.

This, wizards well, and orb of fire = the best trinket artifact combo for my play style.
