Is Ash a viable starter now?
After the HotA's 1.7.2 patch many spell speciallists got buffed significantly. Bloodlust spell in particular caught my attention. +10 attack on top of it's regular +6 for all tier 1 units feels like a new Lacus'/Calt's specaility! A humble stack of imps with bloodlust hit just as hard as eefrit
On top of that, Ash starts with new Eagle eye, making her even better! Nothing like stealing a chain lightning before the figvt!

I doubt it. Eagle eye is still largerly useless, because it requires you meet your opponent before it even has a chance to do anything. In early game bloodlust only affects imps. So you will be better off picking Calh or Ignatius. In the late game bloodlust only gives +10/12 attack to units that matter (T5-T7), and it doesn't affect your T6, so it's a minor advantage.

Why does it not affect dogs

It does, but imps tend to be a better early stack through sheer numbers.

Idk, it basically gives 115% damage to 20 imps, basically doubling their damage. But on the other hand you have Ignatius which has three times as much starting imps which dont cost any mana.

Are we talking about pve or pvp? Because in pve every hero is viable, it just depends on how easy you want things to be.
In PVP eagle eye is slightly more useful than it was, it still not a skill you want to have. The bloodlust specialty looks good from the outside, but mana and spell power are bottlenecks, not to mention that you'll quicky find better spells to cast.

In the beginning you can cast this bloodlust twice and you're out of mana... It also lasts only 2 rounds, so 2 hits, with rather small stack...
Given those limitations, can Ash compete with Calh/Ingatius during first days when any advantage you can get is the most crucial?
