Hi everyone this is my First post in this Place.

Im a 17 year old guy in singapore, Who is currently waiting to join Aeronautical engineering in A polytechnic. ( I know.. Quite weird )

I had 6 months of break till school starts and its still holidays now, Which is why i worked at a subway restaurant which is in a Hospital. I make sandwiches mainly for Doctors, surgeons and Nurses.

Last week i was doing a closing shift and we were closed for the day. 9:45pm. I closed the door and saw a man holding his chest and i wanted to ask him if he is okay? Cos i felt worried for the dude. He’s like a middle aged man huge dude btw, He just plopped on the ground. I was extremely shocked but i just ran to him after shouting at my coworker to follow me. She saw the man and was very uncomfortable and she started crying. Idk why she is soo sensitive but a mans life is at risk. I just started telling her to shout for help and i emphasized that because at that time, theres barely anyone walking in the hospital at that time. You see this was the block for Specialist doctors or something? such as orthopedics and other cancer patient kinda thing?

So yea the guy. I checked his pulse first and i was initially surprised because i never did something like this and Usually as some of you may know the normal Bpm is like 72-100per minute or something. I learnt this at cpr training that you should mentally count to ten and check the pulse and multiply by 6. So 3 pulse per 10 sec x 6 is 18beats per minute.

I started giving the guy cpr once i ripped open his shirt. Following the staying alive beat. Going as fast as i can. Then a doc wearing some scrubs came rushing with my coworker and rushed to me. I recognized the dude. Gave him some free broken cookies earlier that week. He took over and i told him Bradycardia ( House and Chase Came to mind when i noticed the low pulse )

The doc kept shouting some lingo soo loud ( I forgot but i think it was crash cart or something .It just hurt my ears. I saw some nurses and scdf dudes coming and they carried the guy to an ambulance nearby to administer the cpr machine and AED ( the shock thingy ). The ambulance and the scdf personnel came cos I told siri to call 995.

I saw the guy’s life draining man. 20 whole minutes of this and he Woke up. he started wheezing abit and slightly screaming cos of broken ribs or something

Just wanted to share this cos Im grateful for this show man. I correctly diagnosed Bradycardia. 🤓🤓🤣. I love this show and will always appreciate it. Cos i dont know where i would be if i Couldnt save this man. After Season 6 I went for the Cpr course and had the training needed to help save this man.

Why the fuck would he think that House, the clearly rude and slightly unhinged doctor whom he had just insulted AND physically assaulted, somehow has his best interest when he asks to put a thermometer up his ass? and what the hell happened to below the armpits?

I’m 32 and going through - as many of us are - a really painful, shitty chapter in my life. Underpaid at a thankless job with a bunch of boring people. (If I came from any amount of family money, I’d have been an artist. But alas, I am two generations removed from people living in trailers).

I watch HOUSE because it makes me feel renewed to see a genius doing their job so brilliantly. Yes, he’s tortured and in constant pain. (That only makes me relate more). He’s so great at his job, and so unbelievably clever and witty, that he gets away with saying or doing almost anything to anyone.

He looks like an earthworm and yet his charm and ingenuity are so undeniable that the exquisite SELA WARD wants him.

The characters are playful with their language - so many puns, double entendres, “touché” moments. That is, of course, a credit to the writers. And also to the actors for pulling it off without it feeling like a stagey Noel Coward piece. I want the world to be more like a HOUSE episode teleplay.

House does not have to entertain small talk. He insults the initiator as boring, uninteresting, and then moves on. I WISH I could do that. I WISH I could only deal with people that interest me, in situations that interest me. That, to me, is the ultimate freedom. This show gives me a fantasy of freedom.

(Disclaimer: I would definitely ease up on the racist and misogynistic jokes. The show doesn’t need them! It’s funny without having to disrespect marginalized people. Someone as smart as House should know it’s more rewarding to Punch “Up,” not Down. Okay, I’ll descend from my Bleeding Heart Leftist soapbox now…)

Fun fact: The song that plays at the end of S5:E15 on the scenes of Cuddy’s daughter’s naming ceremony, is composed and played by Hugh Laurie himself!! It’s called ‘Cuddy’s Serenade’. I’d heard that he was a musician as well but that was the first i ever heard him play. It was so good

I had the weirdest dream that House, Chase and Park were stranded on some sort of western cyber punk island and were treating a patient that had their mind connected to the “real world”… (wouldn’t that be a good thing?) and so they developed a weird machine to treat him. House said one too many insults to Park and Chase so the unthinkable and most bizarre thing ever happened. Park was apparently a famous bodybuilder and started beating the shit out of House with his cane, and then with her bare arms. Her arms were so ripped that you could see the veins. House kept begging her to please stop and that he was on his knees, but home girl didn't show any mercy 💀 Chase was just there watching him 😭 anyways maybe its my subconscious inventing things because Park punched someone….

It is still one of the best shows that ever aired on TV.

In my book, it is still second to The West Wing and Newsroom. But it’s a close third.

In just a few weeks, I’ve binged enough to be on S6 E10. I know the end is coming, and while I remember the general gist of it, each episode still has many moments I don’t recall.

Such a good series.

WHY is Amber literally EVERYWHERE?

I first watched the Mentalist (in which she played a villain or smth), then House (where she played Amber obviously), then I watched friends (where she played some fragile girlfriend) and then bones (where she played a girlfriend of one of the main characters).

So, I'll ask again:

WHY IS SHE EVERYWHERE?!?!!?!?!??!?!

I know it's probably common knowledge on this sub, but it was a nice little detail I spotted in S2 E7 that caught my attention, the number for his address is 221B and after googling the street name is Baker Street, so he lives at the same address as Sherlock Holmes, which I think is super duper cool, he's basically Holmes MD xD
