I have the same problem. This doesn't even do a slight difference. In fact after an extremely intense 1.5 hour leg workout 8 hours before sleep. I couldn't sleep for 5 hours, then slept 4 hours with 4 awakenings...Like it made it worse.

Get your thyroid levels checked. Don’t drink any caffeinated drinks or eat chocolate. Try taking Melatonin 30 minutes before bed. No phone, tv etc. in bed. Warm milk before bed.

Meditation in the evening definitely helps. Lately, I’ve had to start taking Trazodone for sleep, but it’s working well — once I take it, I’m so tired I can’t do anything but go to bed.

May I ask when do you take (on daily basis) trazodone, I’ll get it prescribed with Ritalin the next week, does it make you achieve 6 hours of uninterrupted sleep?

(I hope this doesn’t sound intrusive because I don’t know how to approach this community, I can sleep this season because of the side effect of some antihistamines like Zyrtec etc, and natural remedies don’t really work ,it’s a hit or miss for everything o take that is supposed to help me sleep, same for caffeine ecc, everything work so inconsistently)

I have more energy when I'm gluten free. I feel better overall but it messes with sleep. I try to stay as active as my body will allow during the day. I keep candy/sugar by my bed and sometimes it helps put me back to sleep if I wake up in the middle of the night. Magnesium lotion works too, but it can also cause more energy too so I don't rely on it.

The candy thing sounds like a bad deal for oral health

It could be if you don't have a nutrient dense diet already. Some people do become too energy depleted to sleep and sugar or carbs can help. It was a life saver for me when I was hyperthyroid. I like panelas sugar for the health beneifits and I keep annies gummy snacks by my bed.

Also, I can tell you as someone who has tried many different diets, my sleep was at its worst when I was eating low carb and no sugar, even from fruit. When I was carnivore my teeth really suffered because I wasn't getting the right balance of minerals. I saw improvements when I increased minerals, especially potassium. Everyone's body is different. What works for me may noy work for someone else.
