No personality in modern McDonald’s, it looks like a soul sucking corporate office

Pretty much the case for all fast food places. All of them want to go for the boring-ass "mature" aesthetic like an office breakroom, forgetting that they serve low-quality hamburgers for people who just want something quick and cheap.

My family got to go to the grand reopening of our local McDonald's when it had its makeover. It used to be brightly colored and have a train running through the middle that I loved to sit in as a kid. Then we went in and everything was grey or brown, and it had a fucking water feature. The golden arches turned into an eyebrow. There was a section that said "McCafe."

I guess the point was to compete with coffee shops and get themselves to be taken a little more seriously, but I think they missed the mark. They just made themselves less fun for kids. No adult respects themselves any more for going to McDonald's just because there's less yellow inside.
