Support Can I delete my old phone’s backup without issue?

Got a new phone a few days, ago, got everything transferred, saw my iCloud storage usage shot up and saw that there are now two different backups for 5GB on my new phone and old phone.

Can I delete the old phone’s backup and no issue?

Yes, it’s an old backup and won’t cause issues with any current backups.

iCloud Sync and iCloud backup, both are different behavior. One saves on Apple server so those items shows up other devices, while backup is when you’re getting a new phone or restoring your phone so the answer is Yes. You can delete both old and new backup and your syncing wouldn’t affect at all!
