I wanna try making some chicken jerky. Any tips, recipes, or pointers before I attempt it.

I just did some and it was amazing.

Cut chicken breast against the grain in 1/4" slices, sea salt and whatever other seasonings and dehydrated for 6 hrs at 165

You just used a dry mix for the flavor. How was the toughness and chewy factor?

Yea just dry seasoning. It was pleasantly crunchy with a good chew. I ate 4 breast worth in 2 days

I stopped making it because it kept sticking to my dehydrator racks and was really hard to clean off. But I'm a super amateur and probably did it wrong somehow, or just waited too long before trying to clean them and let it dry on or something.

I usually spray my racks down with oil to prevent sticking

I made it once a number of years ago. I really liked it, but I was scared shitless of getting sick from it. I had intended to share it with the people I worked with at the time, but I ended up eating it all myself, honestly, because I would have been pretty upset with myself if I caused someone to get sick.

Haven't made it since. I've learned a lot since about the process and what is happening etc, just have not revisited.
