I’m thinking about adopting this kitten and his sibling (I haven’t met him yet!) but I want to know if we think he’ll end up being longer haired? I really want one! I just see some more fluff in him than his siblings. Thoughts? (He’s only 7 weeks atm)

Question/Advice Needed Is this a good way to play with my kitten ??

This is Simba, my pride and joy. He is almost 9 months and sometimes when I play with him I’ll run around our open space in our Apartment and peek around corners to entice him to find me. I am pretty energetic and love doing this with him. Then he will run with me around and I’ll pretend to hide behind corners, peeking to entice him to come before pretending to jump out and run again. I do this as I am copying how he likes to play with our other cat and he seems to really enjoy it. My question is if this is okay to do with him? Does he see this as playing or quality time like I see it as? He never shows signs of being scared or apprehensive so I was curious to hear others opinions.

Question/Advice Needed Only one kitten

My mama cat only had one kitten. Her last litter was 4. I remember watching them play fight and bite each other's ears and stuff and I'm wondering if I should volunteer her to be a foster mom so baby doesn't get lonely and can socialize at this age.

I still have all of her previous litter. Do you think they will eventually become playful with her? What's the likelihood they will single her out? Should I get another kitten?

Question/Advice Needed Just got a kitten today - seems to have been raised in a litter box

I just got a free 7.5 week old kitten today. I made a little space for him to acclimate to the new environment (using my cat's old kitten supplies), but I noticed that as soon as I put down his litter box, he hopped right in and lied down. He hasn't moved from the litter box at all. I tried moving him off of it but he just immediately goes back and lies down.

When I took him from the random lady, he smelled really strongly of litter box but I just thought that he was getting used to using it.

How do I get him to use the litter box as an actual litter box rather than a bed?

2nd Day UPDATE: After taking away the extra boxes with blankies, he started using the litter box to pee and poop. He doesn’t use it as his bed anymore! Also, he’s already opened up a lot. He’s very cuddly, talkative, and purrs whenever I pet him hehe

My Kitten Brad’s 1st cat tree 🐱

Brad is ten months old and hasn’t had a cat tree since his short time at the shelter before I adopted him. I decided to get on Chewy to see what I could find and I snagged this. It’s a little smaller than I thought it would be but thankfully Brad only really needs it to look out the window. I was able to put it together by myself with only a few times of frustration. Brad was scared of it when I first showed him it but after putting some catnip on it he’s officially exploring it. Now he’s laying up high enough to look out the window and seems pretty happy. I just wanted to share Brad’s first cat tree experience. 🐱

Question/Advice Needed Weaning 5 wk old kitten

I recently rescued a momma and her 3 kittens. 2 were sneezing and had watery eyes but okay. The 3rd was a little over half the weight of the other two, completely congested and not eating. Im immediately got them all to the vet, on antibiotics, eye drops, etc. I had to start syringe feeding the sickest one, and now 4 days later, he’s doing a lot better. The issues now is, for the life of me, I can’t get him to eat his food from a bowl or a spoon. He will only eat it from the syringe. How in the world do I wean this baby off the syringe feeds?!

This is only my second time ever having to syringe feed sick kittens. I didn’t have this issues with the other babies, they just started eating from spoons or bowls when they felt better. HELP!!
