Designed by Paul Rand and, at the time, the most ever paid for a logo. Jobs gave him a blank check.

Only thing that bothers me is the usage of several fonts that didn't exist in the 80s, they just grabbed fonts with a retro feel.

To be fair the entire thing is anachronistic since companies would never have names like Google or Twitch back in the 80s. But it's very well executed.

Yep, a lot of the stylized fonts are very late 90s/early 00s. It's a fun pastiche of a few different eras

Or discord having a modern gaming controller as the logo instead of something that’d make sense for the time like an atari joystick

That discord one just made me… feel

The Discord one bothered me because the controller should've been age appropriate. Maybe a NES controller would've been better.

I don't mean to come across as rude or annoying, but a little note, since you're not a native English speaker: it's "how it looks" or "what it looks like", but never "how it looks like".
This is an incredibly common mistake that non-native speakers make, even those whose English is otherwise perfect, and I have no idea why!
I hope you don't take this as snark, I'm just trying to be helpful :)

Ha! Love it, but lots of companies were also using fonts with serifs back then.

What did you use to animate these?

The creator (the ORIGINAL creator) seems to be designing these in Adobe Illustrator, and is probably animating these in After Effects. https://www.instagram.com/kxdgraphics/?hl=en

All of these are simultaneously good logo designs and SO extremely 80s lol
