Feedback Needed Game Studio Logo Design

I am working as a freelancer in this Game Studio. They told me to create a logo according to the name. The company didn't had a story, Ideation as well as a brief for their logo so they gave me the whole creative freedom with a deadline of 24hr. I did this logo without any grid or rules & aligned things optically. Designers I need your opinions for any kind of improvement.

There are problems with the scalability.

If you present the logo or icon alone in a small version anywhere, the sherlock icon isnt reconizible anymore. Print the logo on a pen and sherlock becomes a small black "blob"... to detailed and small.

Either you remove the sherlock Icon out of your zoomlense and make a perfect lense icon. ( Less is more )

Or you work with the sherlock vector alone in a way bigger version . without the zoomlense around.

Way more reconizible as a mark / logo.

Maybe something like this?

My pipe is ugly as hell, it need some work ofc , but i guess you see where im heading too :)

you could create a pipe that fits with the Studio font. That would give you many options in diffrent scalable version of your logo.

- The logo complete

  • Only the Sherlock icon with pipe
  • If the pipe " s " is remarkable enough, you can use the "S"/pipe as icon alone.

Many options.

I hope this helps

Okay I understand your opinion however they have approved the logo but as you told about the icon they told me that the magnifying glass is mandatory & they will use that by increasing the size. I still have some ideas about that if they allow me to redesign then Will definitely share. Thank you Thresh for your valuable time. 🙌🏻

Remove the Sherlock icon.

The magnifying glass is enough IMO.
