Culture Week of history?

I work in tech, burned out and promised myself I’ll take a quiet week off. Gonna be in Chiswick. I love history and just wondered what you folk would recommend visiting?

Bit difficult to recommend anything in particular as the whole city is really, really old and with tonnes of history everywhere.

There's obviously all the museums which you should do because they're uniformly excellent, and look at sites like Living London History, VisitLondon, Time Out London, Ianvisits, Secret London, Atlas Obscura for things to see.

Basically you won't be short of stuff to do.

William Hogarth's house. Chiswick House and Gardens.

There are also a couple of cool buildings in Chiswick.

Go to Barley Mow Passage and see the old Sanderson wallpaper factory. Opposite it is Voysey House which was the warehouse for the factory. It is the only commercial building made by famous architect Charles Voysey.

Then go to Harvard Rd off Wellesley Rd and there is a rather mad looking Russian Orthodox Church. Actually, it's called The Cathedral of the Nativity of the Mother of God!
