All of these red dots are on the top of the plane, meaning that it's only been attacked from above. Dorsal armor would be useless.

All the planes that got shot on the top made it back, the ones who got hit in the belly crashed

Yeah, the belly doesn’t have any dots, the dots are all on the top of the plane
