Question Hawkeye in Doomsday?

Is there a chance Hawkeye returns in Doomsday?

He’s certainly not in his prime, but is one of the OG avengers. Also, can’t forget about Renner’s snowplowing incident.

I think Hawkeye kinda set him up nicely to be in a more Nick Fury type role. With his hearing loss and his getting older in general in Hawkeye, I think Renner can safely return to the screen without a lot of action. Whatever physical stunts he has to do can be taken care of by a stunt double, and he can mostly sort of stand around and move his arms to fire a bow.

The Young Avengers/Champions might be saved for Secret Wars, that way their show can come out first to introduce them before they help save the day in the saga finale.

I doubt they'll be involved.

  1. Wiccan creates a very high probability of an instant ban in two dozen countries. Disney can't afford a ban in any countries with how much is riding on the movie.

  2. Ms. Marvel was the lowest viewed MCU show, and then part of the industry's biggest bomb in history. I doubt she's a priority.

  3. A large part of the reason why the Young Avengers was cancelled was because they were afraid that being called "Avengers" would harm the Avengers brand as they have low confidence after The Marvels failed. They wouldn't then turn around and put them in an Avengers movie.

  4. It's pretty obvious they have very low confidence in Ironheart drawing viewers in that show.

They're going to try for them as an isolated on-ramp for the under 18 demographic as a show, I doubt they'll include them in the mainline universe.

He literally saved his nephew's life and got SEVERELY injured in the process. In a fight-or-flight situation like that, you don't stop to think "is my insurance going to cover this or not" before you jump in to help someone. At least not if you're someone who wants to help someone in danger.

If you want to take care of yourself first, that's completely understandable. But you can't criticize others for wanting to help others first.

I'm not trying to get attention, I'm sharing my opinion. I don't consider it a hot take to say that him being able to afford health care and time off to recover just highlights how absurd it is that people's lives get ruined for minor injuries because health care has become so hard to access.

I'm glad he didn't die and was able to recover, I just think it's irresponsible to not talk about the issues this highlights
