Discussion The greatest lie we were ever told.

I remember being so HYPED for this 1 second shot in the Spider-Man: Homecoming teaser trailer. It's what we all wanted. A true Spidey/Iron Man teamup.

It never was.

Worse than the Hulk in Infinity War teaser, imo.

Theory A Future West Coast Avengers Squad?

Post image
0 Upvotes

The amount of characters the MCU will have is insane, the real issue is finding a place for them all. With Wonderman and Vision being two shows coming in the short future and Rhodey not really having a place in the universe especially after Armor Wars reportedly isn't happening anymore... To counter these problems of characters needing to be checked upon and used team-ups probably is the way to go. When I think of the West Coast Avengers for some reason the Avengers: United We Stand animated series always comes to mind which is kind of weird because it wasn't really the west coast avengers, just a team filling in. That show however is probably some of the most memorable media for Wonderman and Tigra (No idea if they even have plans of her appearing in the Wonderman show). I personally have a hard time seeing how Wonderman fits in if they don' bring in a new team. He's not really street level but not a Avengers level character, same with Rhodey. That's why I think West Coast Avengers would be a perfect place to bring some of these drifting characters into a story where they have meaning and a connection with the main Avengers whilst not being the "Avengers". With characters gaining a massive fanbase after Marvel Rivals such as Squirrel Girl, Jeff the Land Shark and Cloak and Dagger I feel like this would be an awesome way to bring them into the mix. The new West Coast Avengers comic has also been amazing and with James Spader returning in the Vision series I feel like it's also a perfect place to set up future massive villains. Through for example Master Pandemonium they could get Mephisto into the mix, they could build up Ultron again through it, bring underrepresented villains through the Masters of Evil into the MCU. It would give these characters who probably will get underused a place in the wider picture and through using teams and giving them storylines within the project it doesn't make the universe more bloated with them needing cameos because we know what they're doing and where they are. Like a mention here and there could be enough. This owuld probably just be a TV series and that's fine, I would love a Defenders scale series with these characters which I have loved since my childhood getting a spot to shine. Team ups seem to be the way to go forward with Avengers, Xmen, Fantastic Four, Champions, Midnight Sons, Defenders, if we get a Uncanny X-men etc. Personally I think this is the right way to go and a good way to make these characters be able to have their own arcs and not just be "cameos" or side characters in another show/movie. What do you think? Do you think we'll get the West Coast Avengers? (Maybe under another name as well)

Question Post-Credits Scenes

I watched all MCU movies and series in chronological order at my first time like 10 months ago. In this year i will do it again, but today, after warching Captain Marvel i saw that post credit scene is after Infinity War, but movie is after Captain America: First Avenger. So, if you can help me, please tell me how to watch this scenes in chronological order (tell me after which movie i can watch a specific scene)

I have already watched all MCU movies and series so I think i can understand it. And please, series also have post-credits scenes so tell something about them too.

Edit: Sorry for my English, but I'm still learningšŸ¤·

Other As much as more actors deserve the chance, I wouldn't mind him as Mister Negative. He was brilliant in the prior iteration & there's so much more which they can pull in proper feature films.

Question Does Loki in Loki know what Infinity Stones are?

silly question that might have an easy answer or has been asked before, but I'm rewatching Loki episode one (for my thesis btw).

Loki knows what Infinity Stones are and recognizes them when he sees them in Caseys deskdrawer. But the Loki we see in this series only made it until 2012, where he escaped after the Battle of New York (as seen in Endgame) and ended up in the TVA. it's only after Loki saw the Infinity Stones that he returns to that room to watch the rest of his life (Frigga and Odin dying and himself dying after trying to kill Thanos, with who he talked at that point about the Infinity Stones and learned that there was one in the Tesseract all along). so when did this version of Loki in Loki learn about Infinity Stones?

the idea of the Infinity Stones only came up during production of Guardians of the Galaxy, so Loki can't know about them in or before The Avengers because this movie was made way before GotG. is this a small plot hole? is there an in universe explanation? or do we just accept that he knows what they are without us knowing how he knows? if it's the last option, i would be fine with that. i don't think everything needs to be explained or needs to be considerd a plot hole if we didn't see it when it's just a tiny detail like this.

Discussion How to make Namor and the Talokans relevant for future arcs Spoiler

The confirmation that Adamantium can be mined from Tiamut's body makes it so that the whole conflict within Wakanda Forever pointless, Adamantium, in the mcu, is stronger and more durable than Vibranium, and is easily more accessible without interference from Wakanda/Talokans.

Shouldn't the Talokan, especially Namor, as soon as possible take over Tiamut's body and hoard its resources for their own? The only threat in doing this are the Wakandans, but Tiamut's body is literally positioned in their backyard; The Ocean. Doing so would give them an advantage over Wakandans, and one step closer to their goal.

  1. Tiamut's body contains earth's most valuable resource and is located in the Ocean, where the Talokans are at their strongest.
  2. Talokans and Wakandans should possess the best equipment possible for mining adamantium as efficiently as possible, and considering its located in the ocean, Talokans should be all over it.
  3. Talokans just recently lost to the Wakandans, so they should at the very least find ways to be a level above them if they're to proceed with their intentions.

The existence of Tiamut, as well as the confirmation that its body contains Adamantium is really something that the MCU should address and swiftly deal with, The Wakandans should consider that maybe Talokans would try to get as much of it, and they should make it a priority to contain or at least protect the process of its acquisition, Talokans would be incredibly stupid not to take advantage of it. and even dumber, if neither Wakanda nor Talokan would have no connection to it.

Tldr; Tiamut should be Atlantis, in that Talokans should take it all for themselves, establishing it as their new sovereign nation, what better way to show power than to show up out of nowhere, taking earth's most valuable resource for their own, and in the process, showing their most recent enemies that another war with them would not end the same way. and another point, Adamantium shouldn't be that readily available in the MCU.

Throughout the entire MCU what moments would you choose for the best moments?

Your choice for;

Obviously doesnā€™t have to be from the one movie and can be spread out across a number of different films.

Discussion I hope they don't shy away from Wiccan's Agatha All Along origin Spoiler

After I recently re-read Young Avengers I watched Agatha all along again and realised how much complex and dark Billy's new origin story is. Cause he quite literally took over someone else's life unlike in the comics where he's born into the family from the very beginning.

Like this kid William died and his parents are still in the dark about it all. That's messed up and heartbreaking in so many ways. I hope it's a plot point that gets flashed out cause it has so much emotional weight for a great story. I hope they don't go the simple "Billy's soul merges with William's" and call it a day lol

Rewatching Thor: Ragnarok (after the Nth time) after finishing Loki Season 2 hits different. Thorā€™s line wasnā€™t just brotherly encouragementā€”it was prophetic. From the God of Mischief to the God of Stories, Loki truly became more. The character development, the sacrifice, & the symbolism... its just so, you know... poetic. Marvel really gave him one of the best arcs in the entire MCU.

I don't think this was public knowledge before, but I suppose it makes sense since Kingpin is as much a Spider-Man villain as he is Daredevil. I assume Sony owns his film rights, but Marvel is still able to use him on TV, so maybe they could get him in a Spider-Man movie at least? D'Onofrio doesn't even seem confident about that though, so who knows.

Spoilers! random rant about the loki series (questions mostly) Spoiler

just realized while drawing Loki that he always wanted a throne, and now he got one that he can never leave or the multiverse will probably collapse; and he got it pretty soon after he realized a throne wasn't what he really wanted. kind of depressing if you think about it.

since we saw the branches die in the last episode after he powered them and let go, that essentially means if he lets go of the timelines they will all just die again. what if he gets out of the throne but still holds the branches? like not walk around, but like stand up for a second maybe stretch his legs. would that also affect the timelines? also, what does Loki do in the throne? just sit there? would he go into a hibernation of some kind? can he see what happens in the timelines?

honestly i have a lot of questions but here's another note:

loki will probably have to stay there for eternity. actually he will, because the branches die when they lose his powers., and if the branches he holds die then the tree dies and... the multiverse dies. my biggest question is what he does there; i like to think he's either in some form of semi-conscious hibernation where his mind is somewhere else but he's still putting his power into the branches, but it's just so ambiguous i think it's solely up to interpretation.

(ps marvel should have had loki appear more. i think there wasn't enough character development on screen in the movies, and i'm not saying he should have become a good guy or something i'm just saying there should have been more added than just "trickster, makes things harder for the heroes, liar, can't be trusted". though i'm probably just being picky because they literally made a whole series for him where he got his character development šŸ˜¶)

Discussion Any good alternatives to Screencrush on YT?

Ngl I'm just looking for good YT content that covers easter eggs, references, and comic lore for ongoing and upcoming MCU projects

For a long time I've settled with Screencrush but they've been driving me insane more and more lately with not just egregious ragebait, but just straight up factual misinformation about the references they're making in videos lately. It's gotten to the point where it's not just hard to watch their videos, but impossible.

I'm really disappointed because as I'm watching Daredevil Born Again, I'd love to know all of the easter eggs, references, etc that I'm missing, but I just can't handle Screencrush anymore.

Surely there has to be at least one channel that does this concept right, it can't be that difficult right?

Any recommendations or suggestions?

Iā€™ve wanted the MCU to adapt Devilā€™s Reign for the longest time, and with Fisk now as the Mayor of NYC, along with Echo being introduced and many street-level characters coming back, I think now is the perfect time to do it.

So hereā€™s my poster for what a Devilā€™s Reign movie or series could look like.

Merchandise What are the greatest mcu artbooks? I would like to get the Thor art book, maybe Thor Ragnarok, avengers endgame and infinity war?

Are there any differences between the art books? They look cool and I wonder if there are any differences from the comics. Does it have a foreward from the actor or the directors. They sound amazing but I don't know how they look or what bonuses they have. Maybe the directors have like how they were inspired by other movies or characters. The endgame one probably looks amazing going over other characters.

Theory Doomsday/Secret Wars Theory

So I have a theory that Doomsday is gonna be like the original secret wars which was like a toy ad where a bunch of heroes and villains are brought together to fight each other to survive and at the head of this is Doom and and someone else i don't know maybe like the Beyonder, which is why certain heroes from the sacred timeline and other universes are here like the original fox X-Men and "about to make a name for myself" and why certain heroes are missing from the cast I know the chair stream wasn't the entire cast but lets say we only get 10 more people like Halle Berry as Storm and Daredevil or She Hulk because Doom and the Beyonder or whoever it is picked out these certain people instead of bringing the entire 50+ new characters like Giah from secret invasion, and then I'm guessing that Doom wins this somehow then kills or depowers the Beyonder and gains his abilties to become God Emperor Doom then he creates battleworld and it becomes 2015 johnathan hickman secret wars and that is where all our heroes end up, I don't know if anyone has said this before or this is already common knowledge i'm out of the loop a bit I just thought of it randomly

Discussion I'm getting annoyed with how the MCU handles it's assassin characters and wondering what everybody else thinks

Post image
0 Upvotes

Black Widow, Winter Soldier and Yelena are my 3 favourite Marvel characters however, not in the MCU as I hate what they did/are doing to them. As you might have noticed, I'm someone who especially likes the assassin archetype and this is something that's been bothering the hell out of me with how the MCU is adapting all it's assassin characters. They keep giving them all the same kind of redemption seeking arc that leads to them becoming superheroes and no longer being contract killers.

I already hated when they did it for Black Widow first as she's literally my favourite fictional character and I prefer her in the comics where you get to see all her storylines really have her thrive as a spy/assassin FIRST, and superhero SECOND. But now we're at a point where we're getting a whole cast of assassin characters in Thunderbolts getting a similar redemption arc.

*Side note: I know the Thunderbolts movie is not out yet but I was very excited for it when it was announced (as I obviously loved the idea of a cast of assassins) and so if you've seen all the promo/teasers for it and have been very closely following all the news regarding it as well as interviews with the actors and such, then you'll know that a big part of the plot is basically that the Thunderbolts will become a new superhero team as they're all feeling guilty about their lifestyles/pasts as contract killers and want to change for the better- with Bucky asking them to 'help him save the world' being their out of this dark place they're in.

I'm sorry but it's getting repetitive and boring. Like is it that hard to let the villains and anti-heroes stay as such when adapting them?

See, in the comics, the redemption arc where part of Natasha and Bucky's stories (although much more for Bucky than Nat, and Nat's case is more complex) so I can understand why they were included in their MCU storylines but the MCU made them straight up ditch the assassin lifestyles. Like it over-amplified the redemption seeking arcs. For both of them it's something they no longer really want to identify with and instead they end up turning a new leaf by becoming Avengers and leaving behind the work in the shadows (in Natasha's case, it's especially enforced after SHIELD gets destroyed in CA:TWS, meanwhile comic Black Widow has long been a freelance agent and didn't need SHIELD to continue being a spy/assassin. If she was in the place of her MCU counterpart, she would have had no issue continuing being a mix between a vigilante and covert agent on her own- picking her own targets). But Bucky and Natasha never ended up just ditching the assassin lifestyles in the comics. They both ended up going back to it and reclaiming their agency to now kill whoever they deemed deserve it, and utilize their dubious skillsets to carry out justice (comic Bucky even ended up proudly reclaiming the Winter Soldier title while MCU Bucky completely forsake it). Essentially they viewed themselves as the ones to pull the trigger when heroes can't and do the necessary evil acts that will protect innocents.

So you can understand why I'm disappointed and mad with how my favourite characters were adapted. But now I get even more irritated when Yelena gets dragged into this mess. Mind you the character has never been a superhero in her comic history. She started as a villain and rival to Natasha, then eventually became this kind of anti-villain type figure who might reluctantly help Nat if it fit her personal agenda but still very much works as a contract killer and spy. Even in the Black Widow movie, MCU Yelena showed no signs of ever wanting redemption. Instead she made it clear to Natasha that she didn't like the Avengers and viewed her redemption seeking mentality as flawed/didn't care for it. And in the Hawkeye disney+ show, she's super charismatic and fun but still an assassin for the CIA/Valentina and tasked with taking down Clint. She plays more of an antagonistic and villainous role and yet everybody still loved her. But now all of a sudden we learn that out of nowhere she also feels guilty about her past and wants to become a hero?! Get out of here! It's just thoroughly disappointing to me. It's like I can't even get to keep at least ONE of my faves to stay a cool hitman/assassin in the MCU. No I need to see them all become Avengers and superheroes.

At this point it feels like Bullseye will maybe be the only true assassin left in the MCU. Anyways let me know your thoughts.

Discussion Theory/Fancast: What if Aubrey Plazaā€™s ā€œDeathā€ crossed into Deadpoolā€™s multiverse?

Hey Marvel fans, Iā€™ve been watching the X-Men saga again and something struck me: now that Aubrey Plaza is playing a powerful supernatural figure (Rio Vidal) in Agatha All Along, could Marvel also have her play a multiversal version of Lady Deathā€”the same cosmic entity Deadpoolā€™s obsessed with in the comics?

Imagine the energy: Deadpoolā€™s chaotic love for Deathā€¦ but itā€™s Aubrey Plaza, bringing that perfect mix of dark humor, deadpan wit, and mysterious intensity. Sheā€™d crush that role, and it would open the door to some seriously wild multiverse storytelling.

I know sheā€™s already cast as Rio, but with the multiverse rules being as bendy as they are (Loki variants, Peter Parkers, etc.), it wouldnā€™t be that far-fetched to see her pop up in Deadpool & Wolverine sequel or beyond as another incarnation of Death.

Would love to hear what others thinkā€”would you be down to see Aubrey Plaza as the Death of the Deadpool universe?

Theory Ant man and thor created dr doom in avengers endgame

Anyone remembers in loki episode 1 before they send him to the tva the tva agent said reset the timeline what does reset the timeline mean? Like it goes back to normal or destroyed? Cause i had a theory that the universe were loki escaped with the teseract that this version of rdj became doom. So what does timeline reset mean? Could it be that the timeline reset is the timeline getting destroyed slowly and rdj turns evill in this timeline cause its after all his fault loki got the teseract cause (616 antman) gave him a cardiac arrest and tony droped the case and becomes doom?(remember thor revived him with his hammer maybe it gave tony magic powers or smth.) and than his timeline gets destroyed from the tva and rdj doom survives or discovers loki holding the multiverse together .... I think we will see if this theory is acurate if he shows up in f4.
