$80 is specifically for Mario Kart most of the games are going to be $70. We all knew this was going to happen when PlayStation 5 games went up to $70.

Haven't AAA games been releasing at $70 for years...?

It's 90 for the box copy of Donkey Kong. Just wait for $100 GTA 6, it's coming. $200 deluxe edition. Get it yet?

So far there is no confirmation or example of a $90 price point for the physical version in the USA only in the EU where there is a 10 euro bump.

Absolutely agreed! They are looking to see what the market will bare. I just have seen the misinformation of $90 come up time and time again to rile people up, and at least I haven't seen proof of that in the US yes, though it's very real for the EU of course so still a factor and worth discussion.

Source? Sure, Donkey Kong is $70, but AFAIK every Switch 2 game that was ported from Switch 1 has been $80, indicating 80 is the typical expectation.

That’s due to additional dlc to, like Kirby getting a brand new world, the price isn’t worth it personally, but a bit more justified

So, forced DLC purchase is wild. But beyond that, it's a $20 increase for most games, which is a lot for DLC.
