The single pillow blocks concern me. Under high torque the steering linkage could wrap up

I remember making big complicated Lego vehicles and using a bunch of universal joints everywhere, only for all of the shafts to become a pretzel when I spun it

Out of curiosity why didn’t you just plumb a steering motor closer to the operator?
