Are my neighbors testing me?
Granted they help take out our trash bins whenever we are not home and sometimes whenever they take out theirs. But being the neat freak I am, my trash bin stays clean. I’ve noticed they use it sometimes and it’s never been this bad. I don’t want to be the bad guy but seeing this is lowkey annoying.

What are those things?
You’ll probably get mixed opinions on here but personally, I find it a bit inconsiderate. Once when I went to collect my emptied can from the end of the driveway, I found a single bag of dog poo in the bottom. Presumably from someone walking past with their doggo…. But it sat in there for a week. Can was super stinky. Imho, your can is yours. Everyone else’s can is theirs. Use your own.

That would have annoyed me so bad. I don't even put food in the trash. I put a trash bag over one of the drawers in the freezer and freeze the food waste. Then put it in the can right before it runs so my can doesn't smell or attract flies or animals.

I have no idea what they are! I was thinking of addressing this with them but I also don’t want to be that person. Ugh!

Honestly, this is a nothing burger. You should be happy that you have neighbours who'll actually use your bin as opposed to just throwing litter/junk on the ground. It's much more annoying cleaning up your neighbours messes.

Its a bin.
Garbage goes in there.
Worrying about it being dirty is a path to madness

This is why I always bring my can back to the back yard.

I always bring my trash back. It never sits out there more than the trash day. But they do put them out for me sometimes.

They probably don’t know that you even wash your bin out. You probably need to let them know?

Or just deal with a bin with rubbish in it... It's not like someone took a shit on their dining table here.

It's funny how delicate some people truly are, there's a comment here complaining about someone putting a bag of dog shit in the bin making it "all stinky"
Ffs, have a teaspoon of concrete and harden the fuck up

I mean, my day isn't "someone put a little rubbish in my rubbish bin" bad... But thanks for your post, it gave me the perspective I needed to try to stay as brave as you 💭n 🙏🏻

I had a neighbor toss an untied dog poop bag in my bin after the trash was recently collected. He literally lives several doors down. Fortunately all the poop stayed in bag. This neighbor is very nice and has given me honey from his bees so I let it go.

I mean if they help you out with your bins, then maybe you should let this slide, besides, from the look of them, they’re probably just sponges or cloths or something, so just tip em out or something, no big deal.

Dude, who cares. It's rubbish. In the bin. Literally where you expect to find it.
