Overdone A bird has a personal vendetta against my driver side door ๐Ÿ˜

I noticed it one morning, and washed my car. No biggie! Then the next morning he doubled down ๐Ÿ˜

I had a bird that was seemingly obsessed with itself and would look at its reflection in the mirror while jet streaming shit onto my driver side door. Probably whatโ€™s happening here ๐Ÿ˜†

He literally just sits and waits until he has to crap all over my door again ๐Ÿ˜‚

Hilarious, like he's looking to make sure the coast is clear

Does this happen at a certain time everyday?

I feel like itโ€™s constant but I havenโ€™t been checking consistently or anything ๐Ÿ˜‚

These guys are not obsessed with themselves; they see a rival. Put socks over the mirrors when parked at home.

Criminally unnoticed voice of reason.

I donโ€™t think it was just a bird. I think he went and got all the homies to chip in.

For real ๐Ÿ˜‚. I keep coming outside and there he is. Just sitting there. Waiting to poop again.

I've lived this life, running out of my house in my underwear, rake in hand, chasing birds off.

You really want to start covering your mirror with some cloth in the evening, and it'll lose interest in a couple of weeks, otherwise this is going to be a near daily occurrence

Is it just his reflection? Maybe he sees his reflection in the window too ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ. I see beak marks in the window where heโ€™s been scratching at it

It's mating season and birds are very territorial right now. It thinks that's a rival moving in on its nest

Heโ€™s probably so upset this maniac is still on his territory. Even after all the poop ๐Ÿ˜‚

That makes perfect sense

I think I saw this dude, eating a bird, down by the tracks. The bird he was eating had just finished eating the leg of someone I know

We have an eastern bluebird pair that returns to our house every year and one of them does this to our car, and it also taps on our back door window non-stop and drives my dog crazy

2

u/Lunch_Trae 7d ago

Is this an eastern bluebird by chance? Maybe your harasser is this guys cousin or something ๐Ÿ˜‚

I think the males are obsessed with themselves ๐Ÿ˜

Bro is a narcissist for real ๐Ÿ˜‚

To remedy this, put a grocery bag over the mirror. My neighbor had to do this for a few years because a Robin would come back every spring to nest and mess up his car. It was over after the robins life span was over.

It seems I may have a nemesis for life ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Itโ€™s only for a few weeks in Spring time and then it stops if I remember correctly

This happened to me with a short fused cardinal. I just folded my mirror in for a few days.ย

That bird has a bone to pick with you!

Put a shopping bag over your mirror when you get home. It prevents them from seeing and attacking their reflection in the mirror, and eventually theyโ€™ll move on.

I will give that a shot! But I think he sees his reflection in the window too, since thereโ€™s scratch marks from what I am assuming is his beak ๐Ÿ˜…

Theyโ€™ve done it to mine too, but Iโ€™m the front passenger ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Probably didn't like your Honda, telling you to upgrade it to a Vtec turbo instead

3

u/Lunch_Trae 7d ago

Who am I to deny this birds wisdom ๐Ÿ˜”

2

u/ObiWangCannabis 7d ago

Apparently "turd" is the word

u/zipperfire 7d ago

That bird probably has chickens in the extended family and you were carrying home Popeyes. Took it personally. Go for burgers next time.

Itโ€™s spring, itโ€™s fighting the mirror. It will win and hormones go back to normal. Then he will leave it alone hopefully

"This the one?" "Yeah, this the one, let 'em have it!" splat splat splat splaaaat

Start feeding or adopt an outdoor cat.

We have to cover our side mirrors because the cardinals are assholes.

Next time you see the bird heading for your car, grab a hose and spray the fuck out of it. That will teach it not to sit there.
