Contrast issues, whoever processed the image into the embroidery machine file left it too dark to pick out any tabby stripes except the ones above the eyes.

What examples did you see from this company that made you choose them? Did they not show you a proof before they made the face? I agree it’s far from close. Was it just the patch or the whole outfit? Super angry if was the whole outfit. If not, then went didn’t you return it?

The pictures online showed that the company embroiders as much detail as possible, and this was actually my second time purchasing from them. The first time I got a sweater for my friend of her dogs, and they did an incredible job. They do not show the sketch before embroidering it. I didn’t return it because they wanted me to pay for the shipping back which was basically half the price of what I paid already

You really should return it. They will keep doing this as long as they can get away with it. Alternatively, try to do a charge back through your bank.

I tried to get them to pay for the shipping back and all they did was offer me an $8 refund which I didn’t take. A lot of back and fourth and I did end up doing a chargeback which went through

There are reputable retailers that do this. I got one for my boyfriend on Etsy and they sent me a proof before it was produced so I knew what it was going to look like. I’m sorry you got scammed.

Read too fast. Thought you wanted a sweater made OF your cat.... Sorry for your loss. I still think I see my cat from time to time out of the corner of my eye, and then I remember he's been gone for months. I like to think it's just his spirit still patrolling the house.

This happened to me too with my family dog who passed. I went back and forth with the company and they “redesigned it” and then sent the original design anyway. I’m wondering if we got duped by the same company

It looks like the largest area that was supposed to be brown ended up dark gray/black, almost as dark as the markings. If that was the proper color, then I could possibly see how this would be a better depiction of your beautiful kitty. Glad to read that you were able to get a chargeback. Sorry for your loss. <\3

That's so frustrating. Are there any tailors nearby? You might be able to find one who's willing to embroider your cat on a different clothing item you have.

I’d ask for a refund or charge back too. You clearly don’t have a black cat. If they can embroider whiskers, they can do the face stripes. And brown ones at that. The outline should be brown. The nose should be pink too.
They didn’t even try. They just used a basic cat template.

That is wrong on so many levels. As a cat lover, and an embroidery enthusiast, I am upset for you. I have software that would turn your photo into a cross stitch chart, that would be a lot more accurate than THAT! ( Heck, there are websites that would do it for free and be more accurate than that)

As an embroidery machine operator, it looks like they selected the wrong needle number so the thread colours got mixed up. (Eg. Instead of needle 7 with brown thread they selected 8 with black) Lord knows how they didn’t catch it and change it (possibly something wrong with the plot from the digitiser)
But yeah. Super shitty that they didn’t own up to their mistake. Please drop their name so we can steer clear of the company and leave an honest review! ❤️

The mouth matches up so I wonder if they put the wrong thread in the machine and then just didn't want to deal with fixing it and hope you'd not kick up a fuss. Such a shame, but don't be disheartened! You got your money back so hopefully you can try again elsewhere :)

hey op what area are you in? i embroider quite a bit and i'm willing to try and fix it up for you (for free), i live in canada so if you're in another country shopping might be a bit much, but i hate to see this stuff happening to grieving people :(
