Sealed Freeze Dried Food had a moth infestation

Post image

Went camping the other day and my completely sealed bag of freeze dried camping food was full of dead moths and cobwebs.

I checked the whole bag to find any openings, nothing. Must’ve happened during the manufacturing process.

Thankfully REI will replace my bag, hopefully my other bags from Peak Refuel don’t have this same problem.

Eeewwww!

I bought organic oats and had them in my cupboard. Turns out they were a bit more organic than I realised, and now I have pantry moths. So when I bring new oats into the apartment, I always bag them and freeze them for a couple of days to make sure that they're not going to make things worse. I have moth traps now. :(
