The way my mom puts the dishes to “dry”
They don’t even get to fully dry.

I need a drying rack like that, honestly.

This is genius eh?
Edit: especially when my sink is so small I have to put a plate in diagonally.

Trying hard to understand what the problem is here. They are all facing down so they will drain. How are they supposed to be?

Ideally they should be standing up in the rack, it allows you to fit more in, and allows air to get in between them.
Ideally there's nothing wrong with this as long as you're not drying that much.

It’s dishes on a rack and they’re drying . Not sure what OP is looking for. He’s probably just a kid that doesn’t do chores. No need to call your mom out on something you have no experience in.

lol, I clean the house almost everyday. It’s like my role here. My mom doesn’t do much because me and my partner are cleaning everyday for her, because we love to clean and because she deserves to just relax, but when she does the dishes, she just stacks them all up on top of each other instead of giving them space, which I find a little annoying because they don’t get to fully dry and a lot of things end up falling when I try to put them away. I’m a 27 year old woman btw. And have years of experience cleaning as I used to do it for a living, and I truly enjoy it.

They're all balanced at an angle so as to allow any excess water to drain from them while showing air to circulate. That's a perfectly reasonable stacking system that does the job while leaving space for more items, I can't see any reason for you to be complaining, she's clearly better at this than you are.

Given the picture I assumed they didn’t have a lot to wash. Frankly, if someone other than me is washing, I don’t really care how they do it as long as it gets washed, dried and (eventually) put away.

So, spread them out so they will dry. Having the drying rack above the sink actually makes great sense to me.

Never bitch about how someone else does household chores that you could be doing yourself.
